The left wing media has pounced upon something Dr. Anthony Fauci said in an interview yesterday
Tapper said, Do you think lives could have been saved if social distancing, physical distancing, stay-at-home measures, had started the third week of February instead of mid-March?Slate put it this wayFauci said, You know, Jake, again, its the what would have, what could have. Its very difficult to go back and say that. I mean, obviously, you could logically say that if you had a process that was ongoing and you started mitigation earlier, you could have saved lives. Obviously, no one is going to deny that. But what goes into those kinds of decisions is complicated. But youre right, I mean, obviously, if we had right from the very beginning shut everything down, it may have been a little bit different. But there was a lot of pushback about shutting things down back then.
Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, characterized it as a no-brainer to assume that if measures would have been taken earlier to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus lives could have been saved. I mean, obviously you could logically say that if you had a process that was ongoing and you started mitigation earlier, you could have saved lives, Fauci said on CNNs State of the Union. Obviously, no one is going to deny that. But what goes into those kinds of decisions is complicated.
Fauci made the statement when he was asked about a bombshell New York Times report that revealed how Fauci and other top officials had been recommending that social distancing guidelines be implemented back in February but it took Trumps administration until mid-March to actually announce them. We look at it from a pure health standpoint, Fauci said. We make a recommendation. Often, the recommendation is taken. Sometimes, its not. But it is what it is. We are where we are right now.
Sounds great. Hindsight always does. Fortunately, we have something called the Wayback Machine. It can show us what Fauci was saying at the time. Let's have a look: Jan, 21 Anthony Fauci
".....This is not a major threat to the people of the United States and this is not something that the citizens of the United States right now should be worried about."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COqaUaQa9P8
During the time Fauci says he was recommending social distancing guidelines to the President he was publicly saying this:
Risk of coronavirus in USA is 'minuscule'; skip mask and wash hands
"Now, in the United States, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to wear a mask."Fauci Feb. 29: No need to change lifestyle yetFauci doesn't want people to worry about coronavirus, the danger of which is "just minuscule." But he does want them to take precautions against the "influenza outbreak, which is having its second wave."
"Right now at this moment there is no need to change anything you're doing"Is Fauci saying that he intentionally lied to the nation in February? It's hard to interpret this any other way."..the risk is low but that could change"
Then...
Dr. Anthony Fauci said based on modeling of the current pace of the coronavirus' spread in the U.S., "between 100,000 and 200,000" people may die from COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.Fauci vs. Fauci on travel bans

Now you might think that the "press" would do a little research and look into what Fauci was saying back then versus what he said yesterday as we have done here, but you'd be wrong.
I have reluctantly come to a conclusion- Fauci is as much a politician as he is a scientist. Maybe more so. He doesn't want anything to dirty himself up- not even with his own words. If Trump relieves him of his position, Fauci will have earned it. The country does not need another "Not my fault" politician screwing with this pandemic.

This was posted in a thread minutes ago and was pulled. I don’t know why.
The President mentioned it in the SOTU and it would have been Fauci who advised him.
Dr Fauci is to Trump as Gen McClellan was to Lincoln. Dr McClellan deserves the same treatment.
The pattern I’ve seen is, when his reputation is challenged, he asserts that he made the best decision possible with the information available at the time. If it’s Trump’s reputation that’s in question, then he tosses out a long winded word salad with a sound bite or two thrown in that strongly implies that Trump should have known better.
I hope the audios and videos are able to be saved in some other format, because these may be scrubbed if relying on the links to take you there. My brother said that today some items his family has been referring to disappeared over the weekend.
- “Fauxi” in 2017: President Trump Will Be Challenged By a Surprise Global Disease Outbreak
- Despite his 2017 prediction, Fauxi was unprepared for the pandemic.
In a Jan 2020 interview, he said, “...
this is not something that the citizens of the United States right now should be worried about.” - intentional?
- Fauxi opposed travel ban from China - agenda?
- Fauxi is front man for Big Pharma, pushing expensive new drugs for COVID-19, rather than inexpensive proven cures like HCQ that have been around for decades
- Fauxi agenda is mandated vaccines to benefit Big Pharma
- Fauxi promotes fear with exaggerated models & high death rates
- Fauxi exaggerated need for hospital ships
- Fauxi has longtime relationship with corrupt WHO director, who covers up for the CCP
- Fauxi plotted ‘Global Vaccine Action Plan’ with depopulation advocate Bill Gates, pushing COVID panic and doubts about HCQ. Big Pharma $$$s.
Go away Fauci. No one needs you.
Rush devoted the first hour of his show to rebutting the NY Slimes and other articles asserting Trump denied or downplayed early covid-19 warnings. He has clips of Fauci saying or being quoted as saying don’t worry, nothing to fear from the virus, etc. These started in January and the most recent (healthy young people can go on a cruise) was in early March. Rush is saying that while not doubting Fauci’s background and expertise, when he offers opinion and not facts it is political, especially when pushed by questions from the media, especially CNN and MSNBC.
Dr Falsie the attention whore with a medical degree...
Forgot to put link to article
I don’t care about cults of personality and will vote for President Trump and other Republicans anyway. That is, all of those who don’t mess up too much. For example, if one of them comes out of the closet as a socialist so much as to agree with more funding for public schools and praising his public school employee relatives, that will be a no-go.
Well said...
Well. Fauci got straight to the point at the press conference today and his support for Trump was pretty good.
