There were 1,300 direct flights to 17 cities before President Trump’s travel restrictions. Since then, nearly 40,000 Americans and other authorized travelers have made the trip.

Since Chinese officials disclosed the outbreak of a mysterious pneumonialike illness to international health officials on New Year’s Eve, at least 430,000 people have arrived in the United States on direct flights from China, including nearly 40,000 in the two months after President Trump imposed restrictions on such travel, according to an analysis of data collected in both countries.

Of course, this travel ban was labeled as racists by the liberals and the mainstream media.

But where is the outrage now when Chinese business prohibits foreigners and targets black minorities especially African-Americans.

Some Africans in the commercial hub have reported being evicted or discriminated against amid coronavirus fears. And a U.S. Embassy security alert on Saturday said that “police ordered bars and restaurants not to serve clients who appear to be of African origin,” and local officials have launched mandatory testing and self-quarantine for “anyone with ‘African contacts.’”

That’s in response to a rise in virus infections in Guangzhou, the U.S. said, adding that “African-Americans have also reported that some businesses and hotels refuse to do business with them.” The U.S. statement is titled “Discrimination against African-Americans in Guangzhou.”

Italian virologist said that open borders & fears over “racism” crippled Italy’s response to coronavirus.

Professor of Virology and Microbiology at the University of Padova Dr. Giorgio Pal told CNN that measures imposing travel restrictions and border controls were taken too late due to fears over political correctness. “There was a proposal to isolate people coming from the epicenter, coming from China,” Pal told CNN. “Then it became seen as racist, but they were people coming from the outbreak.”

Italy is now one of the hardest-hit countries in the world in terms of coronavirus deaths.

I believe the continued flights to US after Presidents order to block flights from China and other corona countries were allowed to fly into NY because Cuomo got a Judge in NY to reverse the ban. At least that is what I recall.

I have been saying this for awhile. If the virus can spread to the far corners of the world from one city in China.. it can make the return trip via the same route (airlines) and hit the rest of China.

China’s strategy against Coronavirus has been to simply declare total victory, and then lock-down all press and media that could possibly say otherwise.

Banning foreigners is ostensibly to prevent re-infection from overseas, but IMHO, its really to limit anyone they don’t control from contradicting Chinese Government information about active coronavirus cases in China.
