I’ve been to Antwerp’s central rail station. It is really beautiful, both outside and inside.
(I think you know that this was a professional dance troupe promoting a production of the play in Belgium.)
In 1965 our senior class trip was to Washington DC and the New York World’s Fair. We traveled one way on The Silver Meteor and back on The Silver Comet.
After a week, it had been a great trip but we were tired and homesick. We were waiting in Grand Central Station for our train when two of our girls began to sing 500 miles. Pretty soon we all joined in. We were actually 1,000 miles from home.
