After this is over perhaps you can implore the People of this Nation to setup a response team consisting of qualified specialists to evaluate and then establish properly measured responses. Maybe you would follow their advice, unlike you did for your duly elected government.

You are a fool. This stupid argument could be used over and over again. You might hurt somebody in a car crash. If you ban cars, then you can never “start causing harm to others”. I can see banning going to the supermarket because there is a slight chance of “causing harm to others”. We, as a society accept a certain amount of risk. We can prevent all accidental infection, injury, or harm if we lock everyone in a closet. At what point do YOU say enough is enough.
Ban ever leaving home for everyone, forever! That will be about as safe as we can get. No thank you...fascist.
TPTB are just making up stuff as they go along as to what is permissible. Golf is banned in Illinois, but one can play in New York in the middle of a hot zone. Sheesh.
1) You have zero clue as to how I behave, or what I do on a daily basis, so your personal attack shows that you are just an a$$hole.
2) If you are willing to trade safety for your rights, that’s fine. Don’t ask me to do the same. There are methods of containing this thing that DON”T entail wholesale abdication of civil liberties. The fearbros will be the first ones to complain when the same reasoning that was used here is used to “protect” the population from some other “emergency” that threatens public safety.
3) While the China virus is serious, it is not nearly as serious, or deadly, especially here in the US, as the “models” have predicted. Sure mitigation has driven the numbers down, more importantly the over the top numbers were used to scare the populace in to accepting the limitations the government wanted.

Common sense precautions, that don’t entail abdicating the civil liberties of healthy unexposed people can be used, just like with the flu to mitigate the China virus. While being very serious, the china virus is not the world ending thing the media and some politicos have made it out to be. In fact, it’s not even close to being what they made it out to be. Most of the problems this thing has caused have been due to piss poor planning in liberal dominated areas and people playing politics with a very serious life threatening issue
Using your logic, the left can, and will use the same logic to ban/prohibit all sorts of items/activities in the name of “public safety. I’d rather not have the government trying to curtail my rights for no other reason than a “might”, all in the name of public safety. Here’s a news flash we are all going to get exposed it the China virus in the end, and not one of us is getting off the face of this planet alive.
Someday, the normalcy bias of thinking that the Constitution will “protect” you from those who want to ignore it and dictate every aspect of your life is going to come to a very shocking and violent end for a lot of people. The true face of the left has shown its self in places and small actions throughout this thing. To paraphrase someone much more intelligent than I, a people that would give up their rights for safety over freedom deserve neither.
Let’s do this. Let’s agree to revisit this conversation some time in the future when they are trying to force the mandatory vaccinations and “immunity passports” on everyone that certain circles have started talking about lately. Agreed?

I am, in general, advocating for our leaders just because we are the ones who put them there. They are in a panic. Maybe folks will choose better next time and even, gasp, think for themselves.
