The parents are worried about Coronavirus and who could blame them? They did make some provisions for their son...After a series of cancellations, Matt was able to fly back home. When he and his friends arrived, Peter had already thought ahead and stored groceries and $300 in cash in the trunk of Matt’s car, the Post reported.

The parents had parents of their own living with them. The sole comment on LI says it all: "It sounds like the son came back with a gaggle of friends. And they all still had a house on campus, paid until June. So while this was framed as the story of a heartless father, it could just as easily be the story of a thoughtless son."

And then there’s those of us who haven’t seen our kid in a month because of COVID-19. Even when they live 20-25 minutes ago. God forbid if something were to happen to our kid during this time and it wasn’t because of COVID-19, I’ll probably go postal.

We told our college son that if he goes out with friends to not come home afterwards. Not worth it.

He totally agreed.

I've already read about a group of Spring Breakers who returned from Cabo infected.

I thought it was nice of the dad to buy them a bunch of groceries and give them some cash.

Yes- I have 2 kids who live about 30 minutes away. I haven’t seen them in forever (it seems). We have talked daily and used Zoom for family “get-togethers”.

This story is staged/fake.

Indeed. Our youngest son is in his Senior Year. He did not go on Spring Break. He stayed home and limits contact as much as possible because we have his 82-year-old Great Aunt who has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s staying with us. She never married and has no children so, we took her in.

Good for the parents...they made the right decision.

The son, on the other hand....fell pretty far from the tree.

Numbers indicate Texas should be worried that he brought the virus with him and spread it. Thanks, NY.

I’m right there with you. My daughter and her husband just live across town, about 10 minutes away. It has been nearly a month since I’ve seen her, except for through my front storm door.

I text with her all the time, but darn it - I miss her!

That’s not a bug, that’s a FEATURE!

Typos and adverse autocorrects we’re forgiving about. Abject stupidity, not so much, and I for one don’t want people able to hide it ex post facto.
