In an interview Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that the White House's delayed response to the coronavirus pandemic cost American lives.
"The president, his denial at the beginning was deadly," she told CNN's Jake Tapper. "His delaying of getting equipment to where it continued -- his continued delay in getting equipment to where it’s needed is deadly. ...

Tapper asked: "Are you saying his downplaying ultimately cost American lives?"
"Yes, I am," Pelosi replied.
Pelosi also hinted there would be an investigation into the administration's handling of the pandemic once things go back to normal.
"I don't know what the scientists said to him," Pelosi stated. "When did this president know about this, and what did he know? What did he know and when did he know it? That's for an after-action review."
"But as the president fiddles, people are dying. We just have to take every precaution."

Wasn’t a failure of logistics. It was a jealous federal bureaucracy that blocked local labs from developing their own tests. And after ordering locals and states to only use its federal test, CDC sent them a badly flawed test
This is big government bureaucracy at its worst and most lethal
I live in downstate Illinois. The local paper said there was a 10 day wait for test results until a couple of days ago. It is now about a day. Tests aren't provided unless a person has symptoms. That is quite a ramp up. Fortunately we've only had 15 cases and no deaths since it began...

I went to the Chicago area about a month ago or so. I hit a monster pothole on the I55 bridge over the Illinois river. I am totally amazed I had no bent rims, apparent alignment issues or etc. Enter Illinois at your own risk....
