Diamond posted a video on Twitter of himself and his dog sitting next to the fireplace, which in and of itself is calming enough. But he picked up a guitar and told viewers, I know were all going through a tough time right now. But I love you and I think if maybe we sing together, well, well feel a little bit better.
Diamond then began singing Sweet Caroline which ironically (or tragically if you think about it) seems to predict something is about to happen. Where it began, I cant begin to knowing/But then I know its growing strong, he began. He continued with the original lyrics, singing, Was in the spring/And spring became the summer/Whod have believed youd come along. But just when you think hes some sort of oracle, he changes things up and you cant possibly watch him without smiling.
Hands, washing hands/Dont touch me, I wont touch you, he belts out in his velvety voice, and were all left to wonder if well ever be able to sing it again any differently. The entire two minute, twenty-second video is perfection, new lyrics and all.

Yahoo Sport talking about Neil Diamond...
My best friend has a Grand Daughter named Carolina. Of course they all call her “Sweet Caroline”.
Best of all is “Don’t Stand So Close to Me”....yeah, that’s good enough, but this takes it further:

He’s still GREAT!
Hes still GREAT!
So very true, especially given his personal medical issues.
My wife loved him and all of his music.
Is he like 140-years old?
;-)
“Don’t touch me. I won’t touch you”? Hilarious!
Love Neil too.
He has always given 100 percent to his fans, despite a lifetime of debilitating back pain. Never let critics get him down just pumped out entertaining music and great sing-along tunes.
An old school showman.
Leni
Hes still GREAT!”
YYes he is. But as I see him in these videos I am reminded how ugly old age is. To be old and still sing through physical, mental and spiritual pain and memories of your regrets and shortcomings is comforting, despite, or perhaps because there are sweet sounds that still comfort you, and ease so many thoughts of how you wish you had done things in the past. Old age without music would be far too unbearable.
At 88 years old this man sings while he’s alone and no one else can hear an old bass baritone sound like a crow on cough drops.
I’m so glad that at his age and Parkinson’s Neal Diamond has the nerve and talent to still sing in public. I remember in days gone by how my wife and I used to sit in our living room with the lights dimmed, holding hands and listening to Neal Diamond. My Katherine was my own Sweet Caroline. After 52 years of marriage death from old age parted us. Sometimes when I’m alone so no one can hear the weak quaver I have become, I sing Sweet Caroline, and think, dream, and wait until we’re together again.
“Sweet Quarantine”...
It came from a place called Wuhan
Where they put rats and bats in soup
It's now the spring
But it was here since winter
The godamn chinese commies knew!
Hands...
Filthy hands
reaching out...
touching me
Touching you...
