Wait till Mika gets you home, Joe!
On today's Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough made a surprising suggestion, one that he acknowledged would be "extraordinarily unpopular" both with his viewing audience, and in his own "household." Scarborough urged congressional leaders to strip from the coronavirus bailout bill the provision prohibiting President Trump's companies from receiving relief.

Right move for the wrong reason.
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
I’d go with that if the Dimbulbcrats will allow us to exempt any company that they presently hold stock in. (And we all know the most probable reason they got that stock.)
Go for it, *sswipes.
Members of Congress are also prohibited in this bill.
Which is probably the real reason he thinks that provision should be taken out.
Probably so.
Wrong reason s right, Trumps companies employ thousands of people SO they get nothing these people are such BASTARDS!! I want investigations done into EVERY company owned by congress to make sure their employees get NO BENEFITS either!! John Solomon pick up the red phone please!!
Yes. The article mentions that.
But I am sure they have protected their assets in writing this section. They have probably transferred things out their name into one of their family’s name or other person.
They never write anything that doesn’t protect them somehow, someway.
Scarborough laying groundwork for Liberals to claim that Trump restarting the nation again was not for the nation but for his businesses.
Thus Impeachment 3.0
Maybe. This bill came together so quickly they may not have had time to do that.
Only exempt Trump companies if ALL other companies that congress critters have ANY direct or familial interest in are exempted also.
That would be unconstitutional.
Just as it’s unconstitutional for congress to write a bill singling out a single entity, it would be just as unconstitutional to exclude a single entity.
But it’s not really surprising, given the level of hatred that the leftists and communists in congress have for President Trump.
Mark
I was wondering about that. Bill of Attainder? But also applies to members of Congress and cabinet members, so maybe not.
The language in the bill prohibits certain companies from receiving any relief under this legislation. Those companies controlled by the President, Vice President, members of Congress, high federal officials.
President Trump does not control any company, including all of the Trump companies.
He probably wouldn’t accept it anyway.
We don't have the final text yet but I'm pretty sure this doesn't apply to direct payments to or unemployment benefits for his employees.
It's just about direct loans or grants to his companies from the corporate assistance fund.
Sometimes I think he says stuff like that just so Mika will discipline him when they get home.
LOL: Mistress Mika must be obeyed!
