There's a difference between warning the public to take a threat seriously, and throwing in the cards and saying doom is near.
On today's Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough claimed that he "certainly" wasn't intending "to disturb anybody." But Scarborough then went on to predict the "very real possibility" that our "health care system collapses."

Yes, that is hard to believe.
I expect that out of 1 million of his viewers, 999,999 will vote for Biden (or Sanders), regardless of what President Trump does.
Twisted minds make for twisted words.
If it wasn't for people who are confined to hospital beds, nobody would watch MSNBC.
Good old Joe “Pardon me while I whip this out!” Obviously he got reemed for that tiny little bit of Trump support he made so he’s jumped on back on board the Hysteria Express track 9 and called for full steam ahead.
Not to get personal, Joe, but you’re an a$$hole.
Who are the three people who still watch Scarborough?
Sounds like SOMEbody donned her dominatrix outfit and scolded Joe for being a bad boy and praising President Trump the other day.
The little nerd would have never said that is Obama was still prez. He wouldn’t dare question Obama.
China and South Korea are already out of the woods re the Wuhan virus.
This is the most overblown bunch of nonsense ever. Vulnerable people should have been isolated and the rest of us should have tried to use a little common sense. The trillions of dollars already wasted have all been for nothing. This thing was never going to collapse our healthcare system, a rash of more slippery than normal banana peals could crash the Italian Socialized medical system..
Youre right, Josef... The whole thing is collapsing and were all gonna die. So why not avoid the rush... grab hold of a good, sharp knife and jab it into your favorite artery.
He is following Progressive Line. The other day reports were out that NYS would see 750000 in need of hospital care. Never mind that that number is 3x the total number of infections in the entire world for the last three months.
Give Trish her job back,Faux News! With a raise.
Better yet, President Trump, hire Trish Reagan.
Ratings dipping again, Joe?
Why would it collapse? We aren’t into socialized medicine already are we? What is Mika’s opinion? That’s the one that counts, since she is so scholarly.
Does anybody know how many people are in the hospital because of the virus????
So, Joey, when this whole manufactured hysteria blows over in three or four weeks so the NEXT manufactured crisis can be launched, are you going to choke on your own words and apologize???
Why then, is everyone on this thread disagreeing with Scarborough even as most of us agree with his premise?
If the possibility does not exist that the health care system will break down and with that breakdown not only will healthcare professionals be affected but whole swaths of population will die too.
It is one thing to deny the necessity to "flatten the curve" but, unless one considers the whole business either a hoax or an unjustifiable panic, the idea is to save the healthcare system and untold lives-as you point out.
Scarborough is unquestionably a despicable human being but he's not speaking outside of logic here. The reaction on this thread is an example of an all too frequent tendency to substitute ad hominem for reason. Scarborough can be correct even though he is a despicable human being. Because Scarborough is us despicable human being does not necessarily mean he is incorrect.
If we persistently come to every position based on whether we like the person who utters an observation, we are at the mercy of our own prejudices.
Never start a sentence with “I don’t mean to disturb you” but in this a&&holes case, I don’t believe a word you say anyway so go right ahead. Disturb away.
Not sidewalks of San Fransisco, Sherlock!
