Stop Blaming Millennials for Gen-Z Irresponsibility
DB Daily Update ^ | March 18, 2020 | David Blackmon

Posted on 03/18/2020 5:46:25 PM PDT by CheshireTheCat

Those irresponsible people are college students. This week, thousands of them are out partying for Spring Break on the beaches of Florida, which Governor Ron DeSantis – who has to this point been an amazingly competent and effective Governor – refuses to close because it would hurt business....For those who aren’t aware, the Millennial generation consists of people born from the early 1980s through the early 1990s. Current college students were born in the late 1990s through early 2000s. Millennials are not our problem here...Millennials in general are the young parents and young professionals of our society today...

Sorry, it’s a continuation of the same theme. A bunch of safe space, entitled brats not giving a damn about anyone because doing so might trigger them, be cultural misappropriation, or worse, rasssssist.

Yes sireee, the Colleges have emptied out to spread their refuse to a theatre near you.

Party on dudes!!!

I think stop dividing everyone along arbitrary generational lines.

We have some great, some awful, and a lot of ok people born each year.

“Divide and conquer”

Yup, it’s just bigotry re-labeled.

This makes sense - the Millennials are the ones whining and Gen Z is partying.

I’m old enough to not be held accountable if I blame the wrong generation. Plus, they all suck.

'Millennial' has become the word used for all younger people, even if they're actually Generation Z. Likewise, younger people seem to use 'Boomer' for every older person, even if they're not actually born in Baby Boom post-WWII years.

I know younger and older people have been blaming the other for ruining the country/world since time immemorial, but at least they probably didn't used to use these incredibly gay generation names to do so.

You are right. I know 60-70 year olds who are as filthy liberal as any millenials.

A millennial by definition was born before 2000 and turned 18 after 2000. There are 18 year groups starting at the end of WW2 in 1946. So 46 to 64 boomers 64 to 82 Gen X 82 to 00 millennials (also AKA gen Y) 00 to 18 Gen Z. After that you need a name. Generation Corona maybe.

You may see different age groups for millennials. But that is just because the data in reports are often taken from surveys that only loosely correspond to millennials. For expample, census data may be used which is taken every 10 years which may be called millennial, but would actually be 1980 to 2000. Millennial reports get reprinted more often than reports that don’t mention the term millennial.

Whatever. The point is, they have flooded down to the beaches from all across the country. They congregate in dense masses and will spread contamination among themselves liberally. Then they will all disperse back to whence they came, spreading the virus as they go. Many people will die because these punks want to party.

These generational distinctions are meaningless. It's those referred to as Millennials who debased American culture. Those who came after are no different other than more drug addled, propagandized and radical.

Worse doesn't turn bad into good.

These are the budding woke socialists of America. These are the AOC and Bernie Sanders cult followers. Here is the thing, while they were whining about not being able to find a job because of capitalism, these basement dwellers were watching TV. They saw themselves in beer and car commercials, surrounded by a fun diversity of friends of different race, LGBQT, ethnicity all celebrating togetherness, some even j7mping on boxcars, traveling. Then the terrific beach scenes, a bonfire, laughter, surf boards stuck in the sand, same mixed friends, always bonding and laughing.. Of course, they all had the companion dogs and beer. They have sacrificed nothing and they never will, not even now.
