What the hell? No store here in Columbus has toilet paper. I'm not looking to hoard the stuff, I just need to be able to wipe my a**. Why toilet paper???? People must have the stuff packed to the rafters in their basements and garages.
Best I can figure the news about no toilet paper during the Venezuela economic meltdown must have scarred our psyche pretty bad.
It's to the point where it might be prudent for the secretary of commerce to hold a news conference and re-assure folks that there is no toilet paper shortage.
“Until a single mouse gets in it and makes a nest of the whole case.”
I found that out last spring! Was just thinking about it today. “I’d have 20 more rolls if it weren’t for those mice!” (I salvaged some of the carton).
Luckily my stash in the attic and basement were good.

My mom passed away at the age of 96 several years ago in her home. She was still very with it all the way to the end and told us (and my kids) her stories of growing up - including the Depression.
I showed my kids her stash of used, but clean tin-foil. Even though she lived in a very nice and large home, she still saved the tin-foil! (And washed out zip-lock bags, etc.)
Just put a few ‘dryer sheets’ in whatever you are storing and mice will stay away.
Bottled water was also sold out
when I went to the grocery store.
I went into Costco (Seattle area) to buy a few things for some neighbors. Where they usually stack the toilet paper and paper towels they had the area covered with bottled water, but only about three cases high. This was right at closing time.
I sure hope they will be moving it out overnight to make way for the pallets of TP.
Who would have thought that Costco would run out of toilet paper!!??
They got the hell scared out of them in that Depression, and never got over it.
Remember good times are just a period between economic Depressions. Don't borrow; and save everything for the next disaster. -Tom
Yeah it’s pretty unreal. Hopefully the warehouses have enough to restock all of the stores.
