WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE TOILET PAPER THING!!!!!???

Posted on 03/13/2020 4:47:20 AM PDT by BuckeyeGOP

What the hell? No store here in Columbus has toilet paper. I'm not looking to hoard the stuff, I just need to be able to wipe my a**. Why toilet paper???? People must have the stuff packed to the rafters in their basements and garages.

Best I can figure the news about no toilet paper during the Venezuela economic meltdown must have scarred our psyche pretty bad.

It's to the point where it might be prudent for the secretary of commerce to hold a news conference and re-assure folks that there is no toilet paper shortage.

in LA, the stock in TP gets restocked but ONLY VERY EARLY MORNING HOURS.
GET TO THE STORE AROUND 6AM. the stock will be gone very shortly.

it has been like that for weeks.

Here in Los Angeles, people stripped the stores of dried beans, rice, all canned soups and chili.

you need to get to the store early...like when it opens around 6 or ask the manager when it stocks. it sells out in minutes sometimes,.

Moronicans won’t drink tap water.

Oh I totally agree. I am just sick and tired of the continual bombardment on President Trump and then to have to see all of these people be totally moronic. It does save me having to spend time watching the news. OAN is the ONLY NEW NETWORK that is not 24/7 corona.

Another grapevine story pertains to Walmart not maintaining regular delivery from warehouse. No half empty trucks will roll. Truck delivery will be irregular and not based on normal scheduling as before.

Are we also back to contemplating empty Walmart properties for triage and treatment space?

This is not about stopping the flu - it’s about supply-chain disruptions. That is all.

It won’t “stop” the flu.
But having enough on hand to tide you over if you’re stuck inside your house is *always* a good idea.

Went to 2 stores last night. Not 1 roll of toilet paper

I have been trying for days to find TP. I have been to the Walmart Superstore in my town four days in a row and no TP, just empty shelves.

Yesterday, as I was leaving empty-handed, I passed the aisle with canned goods; and, there was a woman loading every can of food into her cart. She was just pulling everything off the shelf and into her cart. It was nuts.

Yesterday, I went to the local Target and their shelves were almost empty; but, I was able to get two smaller packages of TP, even in the brand I like. But, they were nearly cleaned out with only a few packages here and there.

This is media-driven hysteria over a weaker than average flu bug. A cold.

Yeah, I know people keep referring to this as "flu"; but, when it first started, I heard some doctor say it was a "rhinovirus". Which means, cold, just not one we have experienced before.

As for the "flu", we have a bad flu season going on in regards to children. The way it was explainded is that we have 2 types of flu: Influenza A; and, Influenza B. The A version is the usual strain which hits adults; the B version will hid kids harder. We are now esperiencing a "B" version of the flu, and, a lot of kids have already died of it this flu season.

Yet, we (or, shall we say the "media") is so involved in pushing this Coronavirus, trying to get a political hit on Trump, that they are ignoring the bigger problem with this year's flu and how it is hitting our children very hard.

Yup, but sometimes the cats ( I have dozens around the farm) can’t get into where things are stored.

Our inventory is 43 rolls of Costco 425-sheet rolls. To last 60 days our ration is 304 sheets per day. Of course, the wife gets 80%.

Costco had 100 people in line at 10:00 opening. No TP. Got 6 jars of peanut butter which we use anyway. Checkout was 10 people deep. Then went to Aldi where I commented how empty it was. The cashier said, “You just missed it.” Got everything but heavy whipping cream.
