Doesn't chicken broth contain something that actually kills viruses? I've believe I've read something to that effect. So yes, mom knew best!
I don’t know what to make out of all of it anymore.
I guess we shall see how it plays out here.
You may have had it.
It’s almost IMPOSSIBLE for no one to have had it and gotten better without knowing they had it.
How many is the question.
President Donald Trump said Thursday it's a "possibility" that the administration could impose travel restrictions within the U.S. to limit exposure to the coronavirus if certain areas get "too hot."

Obviously it's under consideration. To be effective, would need to be done before we reach the stage Italy finds itself in.
Agreed. It needs to be done quickly both to stop the spread and to show skeptical americans how dangerous the situation is.
The West and East Coast already look pretty hot on J.Hopkins map.

That’s just the one’s we’ve been able to test. Who knows what the ratio is of those who’ve got it/had it, or in one report I read, died from it, only to have their death attributed to the flu.

Yup, me too. Some people thrive on crisis...
Rush is mixing up Democrats taking advantage of a crisis (the way they always do) with the actual crisis itself. He seems kind of schizophrenic on it. He sits there and downplays the danger of the virus itself while at the same time not acknowledging the drastic actions being taken by President Trump to stop it. Weird.
Was just at the 24 hour Walmart, stopped after work, which I occasionally do. I needed a refill of nicotine gum and some bread. At 1:00 in the morning I seldom see more than a couple of people. Tonight, I had to wait in line behind people with carts full of multiple bottles of bleach, soda, water, big bags of beans and rice, one guy had about 10 bundles of tortillas. The kind that stack high. A few elderly people who stopped and stayed back when someone was heading past them about 10 or 15 feet away. The store was hopping. Had a conversation with someone in the middle of an aisle lol.
Lock downs (quarantine) are certain.
It’s the only thing that has been proven to work.
Or at least slow it down enough so hospitals aren't overwhelmed.
I imagine there are going to be millions of people shocked and unprepared for such action, if this administration actually implements such a plan. It's going to cause a lot of chaos unless they've done some excellent planning.
Agree
When it becomes clear that the virus is not that virulent and people are recovering from it, the lockdowns will cease.
I’m predicting more in the range of 2 to 4 weeks.
Warmer weather also will dictate this time line.
I put what is being published in the media and what people are saying in public into two categories.
1. The agenda of the article or the commentary is to harm Trump.
2. The information is accurate and the agenda it to safe guard the public.
I’ve seen it like that during hurricane season. Even at 03:00, the stores were crowded with people, with multiple carts even. We’ve only had to top off a few supplies and haven’t had to venture to the local Walmart much. This morning we made a quick run and it was much more crowded than usual. Several people were wearing masks.
Dry heat.....bring on the Arizona hot weather.
“Workplaces are taking more thorough sanitation measures”
I wish I could say where I work but let’s just say they’ve been around quite awhile and from what I can see they aren’t taking any different measures. I just heard yesterday that corporate is also buckling down on attendance issues. Granted this agenda was most likely put in place before the start of the pandemic but I can only guess. They use to keep sanitizer wipes in the office then got too cheap and this past fall stopped ordering and having them available. I haven’t received one memo or seen one notice not even “Be diligent about washing hands.” Other ladies are barely running their hands under the water after using the bathroom.
I'm guessing 30 days too, as that's how long flights from the EU have been halted. That's a long time, when you think about it!
