Biden Handlers’ New Strategy: Hide the Geezer
DB Daily Update ^ | David Blackmon

Posted on 03/10/2020 4:40:05 AM PDT by EyesOfTX

You just cannot make this stuff up. – The Democrat toadies at the Washington Post have a new piece out this morning which details growing concern in the Quid Pro Joe camp about their candidates’ obviously advancing cognitive issues. The buffoon who produced 2-3 wtf moments per week on the trail during the first few months of his campaign has recently been giving us 2-3 such brain freezes each day, and the that frequency was becoming too much for the corrupt news media to gloss over as mere “gaffes.”

Thanks to the DNC/Media narrative advancing Biden’s “electability,” none of this has really mattered all that much to depraved Democrat voters who have no concern about the good of the country and are only focused on regaining political power. These people would nominate a potato from Idaho if they thought it could beat the evil Orange Man in the White House. Thus, Biden’s handlers find themselves in the enviable position of now working with a significant lead in the race for the nomination, which provides them with a great deal of flexibility on ways to manage the campaign – and the candidate.

Given that flexibility, Quid Pro Joe’s handlers – which obviously includes his wife, Jill – rolled out a nifty new, scaled-down version of his stump speech over the weekend. Biden talks that have been rambling on for 60-90 minutes now last no longer than a typical commercial break on the History Channel, with the text now all carefully read by the candidate from a teleprompter.

From the Washington Post piece:

Biden’s event in St. Louis, framed by the Gateway Arch, clocked in at around seven minutes Saturday. A short time later, at a windswept event in Kansas City, people were streaming for their cars after Biden wrapped up in 12 minutes. His longest speech of the weekend, in the gym of Tougaloo College in Jackson, Miss., didn’t quite make 15 minutes.

It is a seismic shift for Biden, 77, who in five decades of political office and three White House runs has never had a reputation for breviloquence. It’s a habit perhaps nurtured in the Senate, which prides itself on limitless debate and has a special term — filibuster — for talking endlessly.

The less Biden strays from his streamlined and teleprompter-ed remarks, the less likely he is to make a gaffe that could damagingly ricochet around the Internet. Even with his shorter speeches, he’s made an unforced error or two. In his Sunday remarks at New Hope Baptist Church (14 minutes), he derided Mississippi’s former governor for not accepting Medicare-for-all — which happens to be Sanders’s chief policy proposal — instead of the Affordable Care Act.

So, which recent presidential candidate does this remind you of? If you said Hillary Clinton, you win the prize, which sadly amounts only to my undying admiration of your prescience.

Yes, friends, the nation’s Unfrozen Caveman Senator has now adopted the “hide the candidate” tactic deployed by the Fainting Felon once it became clear that she had built a clear delegate edge over Bernie Sanders in their race for the 2016 Democrat nomination. With the Coughing Crook, the strategy was all about the fact that Democrat voters liked the idea of Hillary Clinton but really didn’t care much for her as a person. Thus, the less they saw of her, the more popular she became with them.

As the Biden toadies at the Post point out, the strategy for his campaign is all about damage control. The less exposure Quid Pro Joe has before the cameras, the less opportunity for the candidate to say something that will make the public wonder what in the hell is going on with this guy?

The problem with this particular strategy, though, is that it only works through the party convention in July. Once that event has come and gone, it becomes impossible for the party to hide its nominee any longer, even with the willing cooperation of 98% of the nation’s news media.

In the general election, Quid Pro Joe will find himself needing to reach out and gain the support of independent voters who don’t give a damn about his party’s ravenous thirst for political power. At some point in the campaign, there will come a black swan event that causes the reality of Joe Biden to literally leap off the television screen and grab those voters’ attention.

For the Pantsuit Princess, that moment came when she fainted dead away while waiting on her hospital van to whisk her away from the 9/11 event in New York City. Remember, the entirety of the corrupt news media was going to hide that moment from you – it was only thanks to a bystander who captured the moment with his I-Phone that you even knew about it. Try as they might, there are some things that are just beyond the control of any campaign and its supporting media toadies.

Biden stands poised to basically wrap the Democrat nomination up with big wins in Michigan and Missouri today, and more in Ohio, Florida, Illinois and Arizona a week from now, so the “hide the geezer” strategy is almost certain to remain in place for the next four months. The Biden camp and its media supporters hope that the resulting reduction in the frequency of Biden outbursts of gibberish will make us all forget our concerns about his mental state.

That’ll almost certainly work to secure the nomination. After the convention, though, they’ll have to come up with some other ruse. Because, as the Pantsuit Princess proved in 2016, you can’t hide the geezer forever.

That is all.

As quickly as he was swept in by Super Tuesday, the remorse will begin when he is the only candidate.

They could plan everything, but the onset of Joe’s dementia.

In 2016, if you recall, Hilary was the “hidden candidate”, eyes rolling and stumbling around she was thrust into a waiting vehicle more than once, while Trump orated to crowds of thousands. Hillary invented NOT campaigning for the presidency.

There will be great dismay in the Democrats when they wake from their stupor and find they are left with Joe. Anything can happen at the convention, and will. (Except the Wookie, of course. I don’t know how it keeps coming up that America is going to accept the first woman president on the qualification that she was someone’s “wife”. It’s idiotic.)

“and the DNC can tell us who they have selected as the nominee.”

And that has been my contention ever since it was obvious things were being manipulated to get Slow Joe up on top, with Sanders out of the way.

Hillary has this Hulu documentary out where she’s just the sweetest, most honest person on the face of the Earth, or so it’s billed. I personally would never watch it as I have enough stomach issues the way it is. Point being, she’s trying to get favorable attention.

I’m willing to bet Hillary will be their pick. She’s a very crooked leftist, and far more incompetent than her husband Bill. But much more competent than Slow Joe and not nearly as leftward as Sanders or the AOC crowd.

She will be the nominee.

And I’m sorry to say, that if this election is rigged with fraud to the point any dem will win, then I’d rather have Hitlery than Sanders. And so will mainstream dems.

This happened many months ago when he was on the trail and was confronted with a reporters question to which he responded in unintelligible babble talk. Tucker played it as it was revealing, a Black swan moment, but I guess that's just ole Joe being Joe.....

Cross the line, vote for Bernie -- he'll likely be dead by the convention, so after months of scrambling to deny him the nomination, the DNC will be faced with having to conduct even more shenanigans.

The fight to be Biden’s VP candidate will be VICIOUS!

Normally, a VP gets there in the hope that he’ll be the party’s standard bearer in 4 or 8 years. Now, a VP candidate has an excellent chance of stepping over the drooling body of an incompetent President Biden in a matter of months.

I love how this author connects the dots & wraps it all up in a nice big bow. I wish I were that eloquent.

Democrat toadies at the Washington Post ...

"Intelligence' and 'State Department' thugs will run the country if Biden's elected. The same thugs who feed the Post insider information. Of course the Post is in on the scam to hoodwink the country. Biden will line their pockets.

I think a lot of pressure will be on Bernie to drop out. Maybe before the next debate. They just need Joe to make it to the Convention and then he can step aside for health reasons and the DNC can tell us who they have selected as the nominee.

If Bernie does not drop out before the next debate (less than a week away), don't be surprised if the DNC finds an excuse to cancel the debate (most likely "fear of the Corona Virus.") They cannot afford to allow Biden to appear on live TV, unscripted, for two hours. There won't be 6 or 7 other candidates for him to hide behind. Even with "softball" questions, the potential for some very bizarre ramblings by Biden is very high.

I thought it was interesting that they wouldn’t let Tulsi participate. Only three candidates left. They still have a woman (from Samoa!) who could represent some diversity. And she could eat up a third of the time, taking pressure off Joe.

But Tulsi would clearly be the only normal person on the stage. She’s too dangerous. They excluded her. So now Joe has to carry half of a two hour unscripted debate.

I agree with you: they will cancel because of the virus and save Joe from embarrassment.

When they are side by side on stage, Trump should lip read Biden’s teleprompter while he is speaking, both to mock him and to expose that he is a tool of the teleprompter.

“Hillary invented NOT campaigning for the presidency.”

Not even close.
The Front Porch, or Non-Campaign Campaign, is an old and honored tradition in American politics.

The successful presidential campaigns of James A. Garfield in 1880, Benjamin Harrison in 1888, and William McKinley in 1896 are perhaps the best-known front porch campaigns.
McKinley spoke to over 700,000 people from his front porch while his opponent, William Jennings Bryan, gave over 600 speeches across the country.

Warren Harding used the front porch campaign style successfully in 1920.

Jeff Sessions used a front porch style campaign during his 2008 Senate re-nomination race.

The absolute only way Granny Pickles gets the nomination is if she buys it again.
Not happening. The Clinton Crime Family funds are way down because they no longer have influence to pedal.
Her three year crying jag has turned off even her supporters.

The timing of her last book with Webb’s daughter and the Hulu thing are her sad attempts at trying to be relevant as a potential VP pick or some cabinet post.
The CCF is old moldy burnt toast.

I thank you for the historical data, but you KNOW that that is not what Hillary did. Hers was NOT a “front porch campaign.”

She did not speak to 700,000 people. I doubt she spoke to 7,000. If she spoke at all, it was only for money.

Her “campaign” relied on the Demcrat vote-fraud machine. She expected to win with that, and almost did.

Hillary would actually been better off going with the traditional Front Porch campaign. The more people saw her the less they liked her and the more her perceived bad health played into things.

She should have saturated the air with slickly done professional ads and vignettes that said Hillary was giving up being the doting grandmother that she wanted to be because the country needed her.
Her rallies should have been few and far between. The DNC had the ability to bus in enough people to fill a 10,000 seat arena several times.
A few smaller events with friendly followers (teachers union, SEIU, etc) in a small intimate setting taped for later airing.
The silly Scooby van, visit to Chipotles and seizing up at the 911 memorial should never been allowed to happen. Her handlers should have been monitoring her health at all times.
They should also have had a better handle on the debates. They sunk whatever was left of her hopes.

Fortunately for the country Hillary has the political instincts of a potato.
Also fortunate that Donald Trump ran an atypical campaign. Is very media savy and has a great personality that comes across easily.

Still, as you say, it was a close run thing.
