Westwood One syndicated personality Michael Savage, host of The Savage Nation, was invited by President Trump to travel with him on Air Force One and attend a series of California fundraisers. While in flight, the Commander in Chief invited the conservative talker to share a meal of hot dogs, which the host has deemed The Hot Dog Summit.
I encourage you to listen "live" to the 1 hour 6 minute podcast. To me, merely reading the story kind of ruins the fun. Download the podcast audio to your phone or computer here. Once you get to the MP3 screen, in Firefox you can Right Click and download the audio to your desktop or mobile phone.
The Hot Dog Summit Fake Pic
Apparently no photos of this Hotdog Summit have been released, so I created a fake pic of it just for fun.
I used a pic of POTUS and Donald Trump Jr. on Air Force One as a starter, then substituted Michael Savage for Don Jr. and added other props to imagine what the meeting was like.
Michael may have worn a different suit. I found a good resolution pic of Savage in a suit when he and Mike Pence met, so I GIMPing and added that to the image. I'm hoping my crude cut and paste job is "OK": I'm mindful that Michael Savage's Dad was a tailor! So if Dad complains from Heaven that I butchered the suit, my apologies to him and to you, Mr. Savage :- )

Savage's new Podcast Format with Westwood One
Over the years, I've been an off-and-on listener to Savage's radio program. But now that he's broken into podcasts with his sponsors on Westwood One, I'm getting hooked again. Here's what I like:
- Easy Access to Free MP3s -- Find the audios with Google search: "savage pod". Click the top link and see the long list of (1 hour) podcasts available to download. So if you want the "Hot Dog Summit" interview, just search the web page for "hot" or "summit".
- Simple way to download -- Once you hit the podcast you want, click the "Share" button and on the next screen you then Right Click the download button (in Firefox). Select your computer download folder, and it will download. Then, if you use an Android phone, you can USB the podcast by dragging to the Internal Storage/Music folder.
- Listen by Subject -- In prior days, you had to hope Savage's subject of the day was of interest to you. But now you can pick and choose! Savage seems to be dedicating a significant portion of each podcast to a particular theme. I recently heard his interesting talk on the 50th anniversary of Wooodstock. Savage harks back to his young years in New York where he was highly atuned to the freedom and hippie movement in Berkeley, CA. He even explains how he met his wife.
- Less Advertisements, no News Interruptions -- I sense there are far less advertisements compared to radio. And the ads are more bearable because they use Savage's voice. As a result, I am more likely to listen to the ad rather than "change the station" as it were.
Bottom line, if you like Savage's unorthodox, son-of-an-immigrant, self-reliant-America, intellectual, and not-all-politics content, I think Michael's podcast even improves on the great model he created for radio.
And Savage remains highly conservative, independent, and calls things as he sees it, including criticizing the President on occasion.

Michael Savage knows how to tell a story. His analysis of what he saw on a fundraising trip with the Trump Team is highly interesting, capped off by his humorous observations of this “Hot Dog Summit” he had with Trump.

Does Savage still believe he was responsible for Trumps win?

Actually, ketchup is part of the story, though it may not have been Heinz.

Pretty good fake. Kind of scary, who knows what kind of manufactured evidence could be created a week before the election

Trump won using Savages' Borders Language and Culture ideas.
Bush stole Compassionate Conservative from Savage which sealed the Bush victory as well.

Thanks, PP. How fitting our POTUS should have a “HOT DOG” summit, due to the fact he is, you know.
The Big Dog with high approval ratings.
No time at the moment to delegate an hour to listen, but will make note to do so later (perhaps while traveling).

Thanks. I’m limited by the pics available on Google images. Also the time I want to spend. I spent about 3 hours on the pic.
And when I typed “ketchup” in Google Images, no less than 90% of the images I got back were Heinz ketchup images, which suggests Heinz is a big advertiser for them!
But by popular demand, I substituted the Heinz bottle with something else.

The ketchup bottle was the giveaway. I am trying to figure out what the device is in front of Trumps hands in the original picture. Alien Tech maybe? 👽
