There’s gym conditioning and then there’s real world conditioning.

In before the “I can’t be assed to click on a link, please summarize” crowd...

Because clicking and reading is too much WORK!

“There’s gym conditioning and then there’s real world conditioning.”

LOL I work with a guy that spends most of his life working out and he looks like it. Yet I can open the jars he struggles with...

I learned about work spending the summer at a dairy farm when I was 15 - helping the boss (my uncle) milk 44 cows twice a day, shoveling manure, feeding the girls (as the boss called them), and the best of all - bucking hay.
I grew two inches and put on 20 pounds that season, the next year I was able to buy my first car at 16 - a mint condition 1950 Chrysler Windsor for $300.

Many years ago I made my living as a roofer.
In Louisiana.
In the summer.

Do that every day and you can eat whatever you want as much as you want and still remain slim.

With a weird tan.

Now, I sit at a desk all day and workout at home several times a week. I have to watch what I eat now, but I like it better.

For one summer.

Made me study harder.

I recently packed up and moved and entire household at 64yrs.

Let me testify.

Without weight training I would not have survived it.

However, weight training pales in comparison.

Farmers are some of the toughest humans on the planet for just this reason. The strongest man I ever knew looked like a pretty normal guy with a bit of a gut. Hog farmer, like we were. Lord, did he have an iron grip.
