Stone Case Exposes the Arrogance of the Administrative State
American Greatness ^ | 14 Feb 2020 | Ned Ryun

With the latest news surrounding the Roger Stone case and the press to send him to jail for nine years, we can apparently now add the Fourth and Sixth Amendments to the growing list of our constitutional rights flying out the window.

Stone’s sentencing, the definition of cruel and unusual punishment for a first-time offender on a process crime, is the latest episode in an ongoing series where liberal fanatics use their power to punish political opponents, the rule of law be damned.

To be honest, I’ve never been the biggest fan of Roger Stone or Paul Manafort. I’ve even had my doubts about former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn. But you can’t convince me that it is pure coincidence that only one side of the political aisle is routinely hauled into court on flimsy charges. Especially when we have Andrew McCabe, who the Justice Department has now decided to not prosecute, walking free despite doing the exact same thing Stone and Flynn have been charged with doing.

With reports now coming out that the lead juror in the Stone case was openly anti-Trump, and potentially perjured herself in denying knowledge of who Stone was and then tweeting about him, this has been a rigged process. Yet Judge Amy Berman Jackson, a Barack Obama appointee, did not see any reason to bar jurors with apparent bias. She has sworn to uphold the equal application of the law, but apparently, that oath only extends to those who share her political leanings.

But this issue of Roger Stone is about far more than the fate of one man. It is the principles instilled by the Founders that are at risk of collapse—the principles that state unequivocally one is guaranteed a fair trial, due process...

If stone gets 9 years, this kangaroo court foreman, the judge, and prosecutors all deserve at least 20 for subvertung and making a mockery of our justice system. This thing is now dead in the water anyway however with the corrupt jury foreman, an entire new trial will have to take place.

The problem even if he gets a new trial or the charges are totally dropped is that they have financially ruined this man. Democrat criminals have yet to be even inconvenienced.

The same thing happened to my parents when a government agency decided to take their land for a quarter of what it was worth and they tried to challenge what was happening. They were basically drug into court every week for years. Their land was taken anyway and they got far less compensation than what their legal expenses were, which they got no compensation for. It was so bad that a new law was passed and signed by a Democrat governor. It was all lip service however.

Idon’t know if the Republicans benefit from a book to the same degree as Demoncrats do. They use it as a total money laundering scam.

I also think that if Roger Stone’s case and all cases originating from the filthy Mueller witch hunt aren’t totally dropped and apologies offered, we are doomed to the deep state. BTW that goes for Cohen and Manifort, too. They are also fruit of the poisoned tree.

Trump himself so far has managed to disprove the old “show me the man and I’ll show you the crime” adage.

You can only lie to congress if you are trying to oust Trump, like Rod Rosenstein.

Anyone who is not a democrat is an automatic subversive, and a danger to the State!
And I reply: “So what?”

If only one side is hauled into court on a regular basis, on politically based charges, That means the laws no longer available to us to resolve differences. ultimately, there’s only one way to solve that problem.

What did Stone supposedly do?

I haven't been able to find out exactly what he supposedly lied about except that it had to do with Wikileaks.

They accused him of talking to Assange. He denied it.

He admitted he had been in contact with Wikileaks, run by Assange.

They are trying to pin the DNC email leak on him to avoid the whole Seth Rich issue.

I had also heard that he admitted to a phone call but had forgotten about an email.

Yes, about Seth Rich.

And similarly they shriek about stolen emails to distact from the criminality and corruption they revealed. I think that if more people knew exactly what he was "convicted" of there would be even more outrage.

He had nothing to do with the actual "theft" and leaking (more like a public service) and the left (dems, Deep State, msm)want him thrown into prison for a decade. PDJT will pardon him but he may decide to wait until after the election. He has been in prison for a year. No bail.

In NY I'll bet Cuomo and Wilhelm are fine with this yet they let multi million dollar drug dealers and violent robbers out on their own recoginizance.
