Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden kissed his 19-year-old granddaughter on the lips during a campaign rally in Iowa on Sunday, prompting “grossed out” responses on social media.
The New York Post reports that the former vice president entered the event at Clarke University in Dubuque, holding the hand of Finnegan Biden, the daughter of his son, Hunter.
“I would like to introduce you to my granddaughter Finnegan Biden. The reason I asked Finnegan…grandfathers are always allowed to embarrass their granddaughters — that goes along with the territory. Her other grandma graduated from Clarke College in the mid-60s and talks about it all the time.”
Biden went on to describe the difference between daughters and granddaughters:
“But granddaughters not only love their grandpops but they like them. And that’s the great thing. Thank you, baby.”
Biden kissed Finnegan on the mouth, setting social media on fire with comments.
Social media weighed in:
One Twitter comment said: “This is Biden with his granddaughter. I can’t unsee it, so now you have to.”
The president of the Black Conservative Federation commented: “No man should EVER kiss his granddaughter like such … This is a weird family. Who’s running this man’s campaign??”
Beth Bourdon commented: “I would like a man to kiss me the way Joe Biden kisses his granddaughter.”
Joe Biden has been under constant scrutiny for his inappropriate social cues with women.
He’s gotten handsy with young and old in the past and was also seen at the event touching heads with a woman while Finnegan looks on:

Obviously a snapped photo gives no context. People need to either look at the video to see what it really looked like or stop trying to write creepy fiction that may reflect more on what they are thinking than anything else.
That being said, dude needs to just give the kids a hug or a pat on the back.

A LOT of families kiss each other on the mouth. A LOT. Probably a cultural thing. Italians and other Mediterraneans, for instance. My ex mother in law is Swedish. They all did. Joe Biden is horrific, but I can’t fault him for this one.

I have NEVER kissed any of my kids on the lips. It’s just weird. Forehead, cheek, hair; sure. Weird weird weird.
I do think it is a cultural thing.
For example, there are some Nigerians that try to claim Kobe was a pedophile because he was always kissing daughters on the lips.
I don’t think you can conclude that..but they..perhaps..are more austere in this regard.
