I have a very serious question here. Has impeachment taught us the past 2 years that the only thing you have to do to get away with any crime is declare yourself a Presidential candidate of the opposing party of who is in office?
I’ve been thinking about this on a serious basis because of the absurd circumstances we find ourselves in as a nation. If the FBI or any alphabet agency is investigating me from crimes overseas, domestically or internationally is the answer to declare myself a Presidential candidate of the opposing and threaten the sitting President with obstructing my campaign or investigating political opponents?
Is that not the crux of where we are? An organized crime family with former political office holders is being accused of “X, Y and Z” and a government they did business with is being asked what’s going on.
The answer then to stop the investigation has been, “Hey, someone in that family is running for President! You’re investigating a political opponent and asking for foreign help to win an election!”
Well now, we have precedent don’t we? If accused of anything, declare you or someone in your family a Presidential candidate as a defense.
Easier to just declare yourself a Democrat.
Only if you are a Democrat.
I raised this same issue five or six weeks ago. Yes, it most certainly does see that all you have to do to completely inoculate yourself against any and all criminal charges is run for President.
It is a pathetic and ridiculous situation we are in as a nation.
Ask Obama, he would know.
As long as you toe the Establishment/Uniparty line, pretty much. Democrats get 100% protection, GOPe types are protected as long as they are useful. Rock the boat, and they will try anything to ruin you. Impeachment is the most glaring example; another example is the op they ran against Jim Jordan.

If you're a Republican, you can be charged with crimes you didn't commit.
Like sharks. They must keep swimming or they will die. So too go the Clintons. If they stop, it’s over.

I’ve made this observation before too.
And why stop at high office. And it doesn’t have to be you, it could be your relative.
Just have someone in your family file to run for DA and using Dem logic you can’t be investigated for any crime.
Obvious questions, which no reporter is asking: If the Biden’s are innocent of any wrongdoing’ as they claim, why shouldn’t they welcome an inquiry to demonstrate the claims are wrong? Why wouldn’t they insist on testifying to the Congress? Why wouldn’t they and the Dems insist on a DOJ review of the facts?
Another question, why is there no call from GOP Congressmen and Senators for a special prosecutor to look into the Bidens? Dems were demanding a special prosecutor for Trump immediately after the 2016 election, on fabricated “evidence”. The Biden impropriety seems self evident and in the public record. Schumer and Pelosi would be barking like rabid dogs if one of the Cheney children had the same deals Hunter Biden has been involved in. Why is the GOP leadership quiet?
That was one of my first reactions. Where would we be if President Trump was transcribed as saying, “When you are trying to clean up your corruption thing there, just don’t delve into anyone with associations to the Democrat party.”
If you want to see who is in control, look at which party is almost never charged with any wrongdoing, and which party has charges manufactured against them.
As it has grown stronger, as it has acquired more leverage over US via those it controls, its rule over US has changed accordingly.
As you look at the world and observe how things work now, do things work the way they are supposed to work? Obviously not.
Do things even work the same way they used to work however many years ago? I’m guessing you’d say “no” also.
So when you look in your rear view mirror, how far back in time do you have to go before things appear to be working “normally”?
Who was President then and who followed him?
Moving forward from there, the way we’ve been “progressed” and by who and even by what becomes easier to see.
And then it’s easy to see why we MUST be kept weak and asleep in our political warfare with each other until we’ve been fully divided and conquered.
What we have been watching with their impeachment charade/scam is yet another one of their distractions to keep US from seeing how President Trump and those with him are destroying their leverage and their siege works against US.
