It’s equal time for doggies day.
What do you suppose makes this little Jack Russell Terrier pup so appealing?
Is it the stocky little body? The swagger? The authoritative stance? The self-assurance that his presence just exudes?
Is it the set of those almond-shaped eyes? Or perhaps his unusual coloration: the white spot on his nose, the black eye, the black smudge above that determined little mouth?
Or wait, maybe it’s the tail, held high and proud? You can tell this little guy knows where he’s going and means to get there. Yes, I think it’s definitely the FU tail.
Alpha-dog, for sure; who wouldn’t want to be in his pack?
If Donald Trump had a dog it would definitely be this little guy.

So true!. Not saying the president should have a dog or not or what kind it should be. I have a JR that has been my companion for many years. As a pup, she was so cute & playful & still is even in her old age. Wonderful little dog & this one is gentle, yet aggressive towards other animals. At that point, she thinks she is a 200lb. pitbull. I wouldn’t recommend a JR for everyone, but she has been the most fun little dog I ever had.

There was once speculation that he would get a dog so Barron could have one. Then he said he will find out if Barron likes the dog they were going to get. Then total silence.
I love dogs. The only thing that brought me close to nearly breaking my obsession with seeing Bill Clinton brought to justice was when he said the death of his dog was the hardest thing he faced in office. A dingbat woman at the White House in charge of taking care of the dog irresponsibly let him go and he was hit by a car and killed. Bill was inconsolable for a long time.
Recently I believe people felt closer to AOC when she got her French bulldog Deco. (Not so much on FR).
Trump is a germaphobe.
I love dogs but for years did not get one. Dogs cause a lot of extra work (mine tracked in mud twice yesterday) for neatness freaks like me and require time and attention (something he focuses elsewhere).
If he was raised with parents who found dogs to be dirty/messy, then he would not develop a fondness for them. Further, as busy as he is, it would be irresponsible of him to own one just to be a photo prop.
Or a mastiff:

I’ll second that. It’s 3° here in Illinois and Mongo (125lb male) and I are snuggled up waiting for spring.
