Trump is a germaphobe.
I love dogs but for years did not get one. Dogs cause a lot of extra work (mine tracked in mud twice yesterday) for neatness freaks like me and require time and attention (something he focuses elsewhere).
If he was raised with parents who found dogs to be dirty/messy, then he would not develop a fondness for them. Further, as busy as he is, it would be irresponsible of him to own one just to be a photo prop.
My take on it too.
Still.... I instinctively give out a strike if you don’t like dogs. You’re not out but its 1 strike with 2 to go.
