RINOs Rand Paul and Mike Lee are Part of the Problem in the DC Swamp
DB Daily Update ^ | Gregg Updike

Posted on 01/09/2020 10:46:04 AM PST by EyesOfTX

If I remember correctly, several years ago Rand Paul was held up and harassed by the newly created TSA at an airport in either Nashville or Kentucky. He also had his ribs badly busted up at his home a few years back by some leftist radical wacko as a protest to something that got the left “OUTRAGED” over something Trump did to “OUTRAGE” them.

Same with Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana and a bunch or GOP congressmen getting ambushed at a softball field by a Bernie Sanders’ supporter. In the past three years, we have seen numerous elected Democrats arguing for and promoting outright violence against members of the Trump Administration, Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and other GOP/Trump supporters. Can you imagine the hue and cry and “OUTRAGE” that would happen if top Democrat bananas like a Rep. Steny Hoyer got shot or if a Sen. Corey Booker got assaulted by a right wing-nut?

I just don’t understand how any Republican – whether conservative or moderate – feels compelled to blast this president to the liberal MSM; they seem to relish the opportunity to channel their inner McCain and spew their guts, which displays their RINO tendencies. These supposedly smart and savvy politicians make these appearances on enemy-held TV and constantly get played – or maybe they want to be played – with the net effect of giving the Trump Administration a black eye, a PR hit to no positive purpose.

What did Lee or Paul gain by bitching on TV about yesterday’s intel briefing? When did Barack the Obama ever give you a brief, or listen to ANY GOP input?

Don’t these idiots realize that the MSM would do everything they could to outright defeat and destroy the Pauls and the Lees of the world if given the chance? The media’s goal is to totally destroy the Republican Party and the conservative movement. They promote the radical, violent ANTIFA and BLM groups, and denigrate and impugn the peaceful conservative TEA Party. Yet these idiots – Lee and Paul – keep lining up to give the MSM ammo to hurt Trump, and by extension, themselves; quit giving them fodder.

I don’t remember any Republican (if they ever did, it was always couched in the most tepid terms possible), and certainly no Democrat ever blasting Obama for his “War Criminal Acts” of droning actual American citizens without due process (Are there any Democrats who believe in the rule of law, or due process?), or any other liberal policy when he was president. Where was the pushback on Fast and Furious, the IRS abuse scandal, pallets of cash to Iran, Dreamer EOs etc.?

Why can’t these politicians just shut up and be thought fools rather than open their mouths and remove all doubts? Taking opportunities to gratuitously rip or denigrate Trump on TV does not serve them well especially when they represent Red States/Districts and serves no good purpose. Leave that to the Democrats, and quit giving Schumer, Pelosi, and the MSM metaphorical orgasms!.

Wise up, grow up, and support our pro-American president! Be part of the solution and quit giving aid and comfort to the DEM/MEDIA ENEMY! If you RINOS can’t see the writing on the wall, or reality, then retire and let someone with brains and guts take your place.

Better yet, the primaries will soon be upon us which signals the opening of RINO Season. To all Red States and reasonable Purple States, please primary these old war horse losers and get some conservative leaders to replace them.

That is all.

“We’re sorry but we are experiencing heavy call volume, leave a message.”

Bet you are, pal.

Freep the daylights out of him; tell him to keep his policy and procedure disagreements PRIVATE while we are on the brink of civil and international war.

He just said that the very worst briefing he heard was the Obama Benghazi hearing.

Not sure why some here are getting their underwear all bunched up. We need the Constitutionists to keep the Deep state under surveillance. They will betray Trump faster than you can “first lady Michael obama”.

Ultimately, who cares which was worst?

Congress needs to at least try to rein in the executive branch. I trust Trump but not the deep State

Rand is NOT swamp, he may be wrong on some issues but he is NOT swamp.

I would say the same of Lee but I’m not so sure since he seems to have sold out to big tech.

Unless I missed it in the video linked above, the only person who brought up Benghazi in this conversation was you.

And WADR, comparing the abject lies (and imprisoning some innocent bumbling video animator ) when 4 Americans were killed in Benghazi is a LOT worse than whatever Trump’s team could have told told Lee et al about killing Soleimani.

I understand the concern over the Constitution issues Lee brings up when discussing going to war.

But IMHO he’s WRONG about Trump needing congressional approval to kill Qasem Soleimani (sp).

We need to crush the deep state in ALL BRANCHES;
THEY are the ones who enable Iran.
THEY do not support killing Iran’s operatives.

“What on Earth does NATO have to do with the Middle East??”

Germany (if not other members of NATO is doing an oil / gas deal with Russia.

Most of NATO does not stand with us in demanding Iran never have nuclear weapons. Many of them (Germany and France at least) trade with Iran.

Some in NATO get their oil through the Gulf that Iran is trying to control.

We are a part of NATO.

It’s all tied together.

I will inform you that Rand Paul comes from Wrong Paul, the disgusting scumbucket who was touring the morning talk shows when I finally got back stateside from the ‘90 to ‘91 war.

That shithead was going around on television elucidating his belief that using armored bulldozers and tanks with plow attachments to clear Iraqi trenchlines was tantamount to a war crime.

I suppose he (and by extension all of his defenders) thought that we should have charged the trenches with fixed bayonets and trench knives.

Screw Wrong Paul, and all of his defenders.

Yep, I know exactly where Rand comes from.

Trumpism derives directly from Ron Paul’s liberty movement, FYI. No Ron Paul means no Trump.

This is crazy. Rand Paul is in the top 5 of US Senators who day in and day out are supporting of President Trump. On this particular issue however, is one of the areas that Rand Paul disagrees with the President. And Rand has been pretty consistent in this particular area of foreign policy over the years.

Cut the guy some slack and send your flak at Mittens or the old bag in Alaska, or Lamar Alexander, just to name 3 quick ones.

I was for the things Trump espouses long before that movement, and my maternal grandfather before me.

No, wrong Paul did not invent those things, and no Trump’s demonstrated methods are antithetical to condemning our troops for war crimes while fighting an orthodox ground war as wrong Paul has done.

I wrote the drafts, and was largely inspired in doing so by Ron Paul, so like it or not you have Ron Paul to thank for it.

It sounds like what they want is an actual briefing and description of the threat. Instead, the intel community (the same Intel community that told us Trump was a Russian spy) briefers blew them off.

Actually, it sounds like what Rand & Lee want is to burnish their beltway maverick brands at the expensive of POTUS and the 60 million people who voted for him.

It seems to me POTUS was quite respectful of Congress and sent a high level delegation to “brief” the useless US Senate:

The briefing was conducted by Defense Secretary Mark Esper, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, CIA Director Gina Haspel, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Mark Milley.

Sadly, the same can not be said of the Quisling Republicans now sleeping with the enemy on this issue.

You don’t find it a bit odd the Senate “constitutionalists” have shown exactly zero interest in the CIA backed coup currently raging in the executive branch? Obviously, these preening beltway careerists like Lee and Paul care little about the Constitution.

Rand Paul has spoken about it extensively, and he is certainly more on Trump’s side on foreign policy than neocons like Graham and Rubio. Or were you not around when the President said we were withdrawing from Afghanistan and Syria?

You think open borders, anti-gun Lindsay Graham is OK while pro-gun Rand Paul is not? Lol.

I do wonder which people here have a vested interest ($ or other) in military action in the middle east.

Ron Paul’s youtube program is actually balanced and reasonable in regards to Trump. Paul has frequently referred to Trump’s instincts on foreign policy.
