Once upon a time, those who had an abortion realized it was something sad. Yes, they had one, but they weren't exactly happy about it. In fact, they often spoke about it with regret, seeing it as the only option they had at that time.
Sadly, we are now living in a completely new era in which abortions are actually glorified. See how actress Michelle Williams used her Golden Globe speech to explain that she could never have won the award if she hadn't aborted a baby several years ago.

Why doesn't anyone think they should take the pill - no need for abortion if there's no pregnancy. That is the choice to make - take a pill or don't have sex.

A very good point. She can't imagine that anyone would be hurt or offended by what she said, I suppose. Or that she might sound pathetic, justifying the abortion as a trade-off versus career.
That's what it sounds like to me. You have to get your priorities right, doncha know.

they know they offend much of the country but they think they are role models for young girls. Also the ego and conscience needs to keep justifying and saying that wrongdoing is ok, especially for people who have no religious outlet for their guilt.
That's an excellent point. I hadn't actually thought about the grandparents before. But when you make yourself the center of your universe, it doesn't matter how many people are hurt by your decisions. It's your life, your career, your body, your world. Out of the way, peasants.
Hedonism. Immediate gratification. It's how most people live now. To avoid getting pregnant, she would have had to be governed by something deeper than the pleasure of the moment. She might have had to deny herself some pleasure in the present to avoid difficulties in the future. That's asking a lot from a narcissistic hedonist.
I can hardly believe that I live in a country where such a thing would be said, much less be considered an acceptable option by a significant portion of the population. This is so sad.

Hollywood has the highest count of idiots per acre than any other walk of life. WHY do people credit these morons?
