Just anecdote, but the prettiest woman I have actually known and talked with because she worked in the same outfit I worked, had both parents from Ukraine. Of course I have seen hotter women but never talked with or knew them.

Even if you don’t understand the language it is easy to get the idea.
A major city of 100k people has a grand opening of a....traffic light. Attended by national TV, governor and a crowd of excited citizens. There is an old lady who remember what the traffic light is from her childhood is but she is ridiculed by the crowd.
The very same city had fraffic lights at every intersection 50 years ago.
Most of them don’t even remember it. Evil Russian oppressors walked away in 1991 and took away water, electricity and the rest of civility with them.
