Watched it TWICE already :)
Free on youtube but I can’t find the Scrooge..the one with Albert Finney, I think his name is, the one with the song “Thank you very much” :)
Might have to pay for it. AH!!!! :)
Merry Christmas!
...we’ll take your pen..and pencible :)
Even as a child Mr. Magoo drove me nuts. Thankfully I have versions of a Christmas Carol on DVD. I have the ones starring Alistair Sim, Reginald Owen and George C. Scott. All favorites of mine. Mr. Magoo absolutely not.
Thanks for posting this! I remember this from way back when. My Christmas tradition as of late has been to watch different versions of A Christmas Carol. So, now I can put this one in my lineup! Thanks again and Merry Christmas!
I like the old Magoo Christmas Carol. A surprisingly faithful production of the original book.
Another good recommendation is “The Man Who Invented Christmas” which recounts Charles Dickens endeavors writing “A Christmas Carol”.

I was about 12 years old before I realized that all other versions of “A Christmas Carol” weren’t going to have the same music as that featured in “Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol”. The songs from MMCC make my Christmas complete ... great stuff!
Producers, Cast: Henry G. Saperstein, Jule Styne, Bob Merill, Jim Backus, Barbara Chain, Abe Levitow. Five of six were Jewish. Where would Christmas in multimedia be without Jews? (White Christmas: Irving Berlin, etc)
..wife and I just finished watching the 1951 Alastair Sim version—the best IMHO...
Ahh, another memory awakened. Thx!
