REPORT: Adam Schiff Facing Legal Troubles For Allegedly Exposing Phone Records Of Political Foes

Adam Schiff always seems to get a free pass from the media.

Now he might finally face some real consequences however, and the media won’t be able to help him this time.

Schiff has reportedly been exposing the phone records of his political foes and journalists, as well.

The Daily Signal reports:

Adam Schiff’s Release of Phone Records Invites Legal, Ethics Scrutiny

House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., faces ethics and legal hurdles for obtaining and exposing phone records of political enemies, knowledgeable observers say.

Schiff may have violated the same rule he used to threaten House Republicans, said Tom Anderson, director of the Government Integrity Project at the National Legal and Policy Center, a watchdog group.

Schiff warned Republicans on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence not to reveal the name of the whistleblower who first filed a complaint about President Donald Trump’s now-famous July 25 phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“Schiff warned Republicans members if they did anything to publicize the whistleblower, it would be a violation of House ethics rules,” Anderson told The Daily Signal.

“He didn’t want other members to expose private information of the whistleblower,” Anderson said of Schiff, “but he is doing the same thing to people who don’t have anything to do with the impeachment process.”

Devin Nunes, who has been directly affected by this, is talking about taking legal action.

FOX News reports:

Devin Nunes on phone record release: ‘We’re definitely going to take legal action’

House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Devin Nunes, R-Calif., said Saturday that he would be pursuing legal action after his phone records were exposed in the release of the Committee’s impeachment inquiry report.

On Tuesday, the Committee voted to adopt and issue the 300-page report on the findings from the panel’s impeachment inquiry, accusing President Trump of misusing his office to seek foreign help in the 2020 presidential race. The report included records of calls from Nunes, presidential lawyers Rudy Giuliani and Jay Sekulow, journalist John Solomon, Fox News host Sean Hannity, Giuliani connection Lev Parnas, and other White House associates.

Appearing on “Fox & Friends: Weekend” with hosts Pete Hegseth, Lisa Boothe, and Ed Henry, Nunes said he’s been under fire for three years because Republicans “continue to expose corruption,” citing Democrats “unmasking Trump transition officials” and “funding the dossier” to obtain a FISA warrant on Carter Page…

The Congressman is currently suing CNN for defamation after the network published reporting alleging that he met with Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin last year in Vienna in order to dig up “dirt” on former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden was “demonstrably false.”

As the Democrats love to say, no one is above the law.

That applies to Adam Schiff, too.

It’s okay. He says that it’s perfectly acceptable if it only upsets a few right wingers.

It’s not “alleged”; it’s right there in his report.

He’s a Democrat. He won’t face any consequences, and you can take that to the bank.

Schiff CAN’T be sued as the Constitution protects him. And the ethics issue would require a vote of the full house and that would never happen.

The courts will just rubber stamp Schiff’s actions. There is no justice.

Oh come on now. He’s a Democrat so he’ll skate. Republicans are too meek to go after him. Just another nothingburger in the face of many Democrats scandals, violations, scams. Democrats never have to pay for their crimes.

Well, sure, but Joe Biden is on videotape declaring his Quid Pro Quo by strong-arming Ukraine into protecting Hunter from a corruption investigation. It’s right there.

And that’s OK.

The Constitution doesn’t apply to Democrats because this is a Democracy.

Liddle Adam SCIF must have enjoyed playing dress-up as a kid. It has become evident as a key player in the coup d’etat.
He easily shifts (get it) between roles in this saga:

Special Prosecutor

Defense attorney for the whistleblower

Clown

Inquisitor

Torturer of facts

Story-teller, yarn-spinner

Frustrated screenwriter

Pouting false victim

Court jester

Corrupt blackjack dealer

Soviet committee chairman

Duma member

Why hasn’t the GOPe demanded the EJECTION of Rep. Schiff from the House for abusing his office for political gain?

I would think that Schiff is personally liable for civil rights violations and then misrepresenting the data illegally obtained to defame Nunes - again!

Schiff is operating on the worst case scenario of a house ethics committee investigation-—which could happen—but run by dems would result in a pass.

I believe Nunes, Sekulow etc. plan action in the courts, which may be a different matter. It’s the DC circuit, so some judge shopping is essential.
