BONUS!
From the linked article.
“In a Facebook follow-up post, Alvarez-Rodriguez uploaded a video showing that the rifle does indeed fit inside the bouncer box. And the rifle itself, which looked in the fuzzy Twitter photo like it might be just an airsoft gun, sure looks like the real deal in the full-resolution photos. I can’t explain why there’s also a box of 9mm rounds and a pistol magazine sitting next to the Mossberg, but whatever the reason, that’s my kind of baby shower.”
Once in a while you can find something really good at the GW. :)
Also I doubt the people there would mistake a toy gun for the real thing,
To her credit, Alvarez-Rodriguez also said the Mossberg was “a total shock,” but that it was “hilarious, and just glad it came into safe hands with all of our husbands being military.”
I once ran across one of those! A Leslie!
Needed rebuilding, new tubes, new speaker cones, etc............
Was too much money, though, like $300 or more............
Nothing about this story makes sense.
Or maybe it does.
Someone shrunk-wrapped the box after hiding the gun?
The story says the police are holding the gun, but will return it.
But in fact, what should be happening (by law, not in an ideal world), is that the Goodwill should be under investigation for selling a gun without the proper license. The mother would be in jail for buying it without a background check. The child could never have it, as babies are prohibited from owning firearms.
And I’m betting someone could get in trouble for storing the gun with bullets already loaded, probably violates some law about restricting access to minors.
I’m 64 and will be 65 in a month. I would look stupid.................
What if the gun was used in a homicide? I would report it.
The mentality of “I found it, I’m keeping it” is not always the right thing to do.
Plus the repair costs. And, if it’s what I’m remembering, it may not fit in a honda civic. :-)
Yes, it’s huge and heavy.....................
Wow an BONUS!
Well, to be fair to her, she said the box was still shrink-wrapped.
I remember a time when our local goodwill received toys weekly from local stores that had minor damage to boxes, they were still sealed, so “like new”, and you got them for a fraction of the price.
I used this store to build up my lego collection, and my k’nex collection, as well as to build a 10-car racing syndicate (those remote-control electric cars were pretty cool).
LOL! Yup. I try not to do YUGE and heavy any more.
Hey, short people gotta make a livin' to, ya know...
Sounds very plausible to me.
“Stand back, Pal! You want I should bust both your kneecaps?”
A .22 semi auto for $9.99, cant beat that.
