Time To Make Life Really Hard For The Rich
Splinter News ^ | 2017 | Splinter

It is time for polite, respectable, rational people to start saying what has become painfully obvious: It is time to stop respecting the rich, and start stealing from them. In earnest.

Inequality is eating America alive. It has been growing for decades. To say that “the American dream is dead” is no longer a poetic exaggeration—it is an accurate description of 40 years of wage stagnation and declining economic mobility that has produced a generation that cannot expect to live better than their parents did. Not because of devastating war or plague, but because of a very specific set of rules governing a very specific economic system that encourages the accumulation of great wealth among a tiny portion of the population, to the detriment of the vast majority of people. Our political and business leaders have chosen to embrace a system that favors capital over labor. A system in which the more you already have, the more you make, and the less you have, the harder it is to build wealth. It is a system designed to increase inequality. It is functioning exactly as designed. And now, it is about to get worse.

They are crazy, leftwing fools.

They despise wealth and success.

Corporate Socialists do not take risks.

The elite take your tax money and use it for Replacement Migration, to replace you with cheap labor foreigners.

Corporate Socialists are evil.

It’s right to be angry when the CEO gets 350 times the pay of the exhausted shift worker whose paycheck has stagnated for 10 years and is literally being priced out of housing.
Nobody un America should be working a 5 day week for Jeff Bezos and sleeping in a car.

Understand also— retirement benefits are deducted from wages. Pay that barely covers housing today guarantees homelessness for elderly who have worked all their lives.

But stealing isn’t the solution, nor is higher taxation and more government programs to pay for basic necessities—programs which mainly only benefit fatcat bureaucrats.
The solution is to organize a walkout within that workplace and demand a living wage.

It really comes down to simple arithmetic—
many of these corporations could pay ALL their workers twice or more their current wages & benefits, simply by reducing the CEO’s OBSCENE salaries, stock options, expense acts,, pensions, golden parachutes etc., yet those guys would STILL have more money than the GDP of several third world countries.

From the article, but because of a very specific set of rules governing a very specific economic system that encourages the accumulation of great wealth among a tiny portion of the population, to the detriment of the vast majority of people.

This system of so called great inequality allowed me a young boy from a lower middle class background to succeed. My jobs from my youth were as my tagline says, "canecutter, deckhand, roughneck, geologist, commercial pilot and lastly pharmacist." The men that gave me those jobs were millionaires. Those jobs gave me the money to educate myself and become anything I wanted. We live in a great nation that ones only limitations are those one imposes on oneself.

After the oilfield crashed and burned in 1983 I no longer had any marketable skills. I was making serious money as a consultant. The party was over. I sat on my ass for a few months and then realized the oilfield was not coming back in the near future. I sold my house, sold my airplane and use these monies to go to school again and become a pharmacist. What a great nation we live in that can allow one to do this.

And how will the rich respond? Hello, United Van Lines, I’d like you to move my household goods to my new home in the British Virgin Islands. Yes, right away.

it is an accurate description of 40 years of wage stagnation

Whenever there is the slightest upward pressure on wages the open borders crowd demand millions of new unskilled immigrants to relieve that pressure. Similarly for H1B visas for the tech industry.

“There is a passion for equality that spurs all men to wish to be strong and esteemed. This passion tends to elevate the lesser to the rank of the greater. But one also finds in the human heart a depraved taste for equality, which impels the weak to want to bring the strong down to their level [Class Warfare], and which reduces men to preferring equality in servitude to inequality in freedom.”

And the funny thing is, his book may have kept people in their jobs (but not really) but it didn’t create any jobs. The rich who actually create jobs are the ones reviled by the left.

I have no problem whatsoever that Bill Gates is a multizillionaire. In the process of getting rich he created millions of jobs and thousands of millionaires.

Him being rich doesn’t take anything away from me.

Socialists don’t see employers as job creators anyway. They see it as wage slavery, somehow making money off the forced labor of wage slaves. That’s what they want you to think anyway, so that they can act the hero by freeing them and making them into real slaves to the government instead.

Lucky for us then that the actual audience for social media is rather limited.

And that the commiescum “power” is from douchebag neckbeards in mommies basement getting paid less than min wage by the likes of Share Blue to troll social media, fake bots, spineless simpering soibois and emo girls along with the usual college attending types so well educated they’ll line up in droves to sign a petition to ban dihydrogen monoxide because it kills children.

Extreme situations lead to extreme "solutions". I don't begrudge people who acquire wealth. But they have to bring the little folk along for the ride. All the freebies only serve to cause people to want more, without taking responsibility for themselves. The economy and our freedoms are not sustainable if folks who work hard can't make a living wage.

One thing that has to end is student loans in the future, but hold people accountable who got them. People can't start their lives with insurmountable debt. They can't be let off the hook without consequences.

You sure you wouldn’t be happier over at DU??

Nobody is forcing anybody to work for these companies...they can always seek employment elsewhere. Thanks to Trump, things are better for the lowest-level employees than ever, and thanks to the freedom to innovate in the US, there are more successful SMALL companies than ever.

Nobody held a gun to these kids head and forced them to borrow money to major in basket weaving at Harvard. They made poor choices. I had student loans, eventually got a PhD in chemistry, and am "rich" today as a result.
