I would have as I was scheduled to graduate from Carlsbad High in 1964. Unfortunately, in 1962, dad got a wild hair and decided to move to the Ozarks where the only jobs were less than minimum wage agriculture work.

How about AntiMexico?
Probably because that's how they would act if they had a gun. They can't comprehend how anyone would carry a gun the way they carry pepper spray; as a tool only if needed for defense.
Defense against what? Everyone in the world just wants to live in peace if you only understand them. Remember how Captain Picard always lowers the shields while encountering an aggressive alien ship, and when they see it they react like “Oh, they want to be friends. Let’s be friends too”. Life is just like that, all the time.
IMO, they won’t go door-to-door. They’ll just issue an “Armed and Dangerous” bench warrant and pick off the gun owners one by one.
