No I am not sorry, I have been here for over 20 years, I support the board, and I am tired of these racist comments that have become more frequent.
We pretend here that we do not use “bad words” with cute little astricks and dramas, but I can tell you that the statement that lastchance made was a lot more offensive than the word I used.

I wouldn’t expect an African-American church in New Hampshire, even if it’s Pentecostal. Not saying it couldn’t be . . .
I didn’t see your comment that was deleted, but I didn’t think there was anything racist about lastchance’s comment. I think he was saying that he hoped it WASN’T a racially-motivated crime, because that would immediately be politicized and blamed on conservatives and probably Trump.
Many churches are now requesting that those with CCW permits carry while on the church campus.
I wrote nothing racist. I noted the likely makeup of the congregation and how that might have made it a target. Many Pentecostal churches do have a large minority membership. Just as Pentecostal churches are very likely to support traditional Scriptural morality. Both these things anger sick minds.
And when tragedies like this happen you can bet there will be calls for solutions that threaten our rights.

Yes. But whatever the motive I fear it will be used to demonize law abiding people who support the 1st and 2nd Amendments.
Many Pentacostal churchs do have black congregations and many in northern new England do not. Some of the largest Pentacostal denominations such as Assemblies of God and The Vinyards are predominatly white.
I think your statement was beyond the pale. tired of this.
Pelham is a very small New Hampshire town. It is unlikely that the congregation was not mostly white and middle class. Some of my in-laws live there and I don’t recall ever seeing anyone who wasn’t white in the town. My experience with Pelham is mostly driving through and visiting a residential neighborhood. I’ve been to one wedding there. All white and middle class.
The town is close to the border of Mass., so anything is possible.
Explain yourself. I simply stated I thought it might have a large African American congregation. Nothing racist about that. I was wondering if the makeup of the congregation could be a motive. Which has happened in the past. So you do owe me an apology.

It is sad that a church would be targeted for any reason, especially during worship. But it would be foolish to deny that sick minds will (and have) use racism as a motive for attacks. It happened in Charleston. How you get racism out of that observation is beyond me.
You knew it had to happen. I mentioned some time ago that it's about time for another mass shooting and they'll get triple sympathy points because it was a black church. The candles and Teddy bears are waiting in a DHS warehouse.

There have always been mass murderers. Before there were guns and bombs there was FIRE. That was an awful way to die!
