Fort Collins, Colorado, decided not to continue its challenge to a federal courts decision that a ban on going topless in the city amounts to unconstitutional discrimination, NBC News reported.
The city had argued that a repeal of the ban would lead to women parading in front of elementary schools or swimming topless in the public pool, according to the report.
The city decided not to appeal the decision this month after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on the legal battle already, NBC reported.
The decision to not move forward with the appeal effectively legalizes the practice in the six states covered by the 10th Circuit court, according to the report.
Women will now be able to go topless in Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah and Wyoming because of the decision.
I remember the first time I stepped foot onto a topless beach in Italy in anticipation of all the beautiful Aphrodite type figures I would see lounging around and frolicking in the surf.
Big letdown as I looked around and realized that the vast majority of those topless women had no business being uncovered. No amount of 20 year old perfection makes up for seeing grandma with those things swinging below her belly button, and there were a lot more of them than the former.
I found out I should be careful what I wish for.
First, Nipples have never injured or killed anyone that I know of. It has also been legal in some states for a long time without causing any problems.
I do have to laugh, winter will take care of this problem every year in most of our nation, and the mosquitoes will put a dent into it during the summer.
I guess I have other things that I believe are more important to worry about.
Note to self: Going forward, avoid entering any Walmarts in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Kansas, and Oklahoma.
Indeed, these shrieking leftist harridans are destined for joyless, loveless, sexless, childless, partnerless, angry lives. But there will be cats - lots of cats.
My prediction is very few women will actually do this.
“Im concerned because girls 11 and on up can no go topless. pedos are going to have a field day”
Just shoot the pedos no problem.
I really take this as a “sky is falling” post.
If we let blacks in here they will take over....
Ban guns and it will stop all killing....
Absolutely nuts.
LOL
“Its never the ones you want to see.”
That’s the truth. The beaches in Spain are nude, and 99% of the “sights” you see require eye bleach!
Seriously, women who want to walk around topless in public are not particularly different then men who expose themselves.
What might help are ordinances that approach the problem indirectly, such as “solicitation”, that is normally applied to prostitution, but could be extended to “solicitation to public nuisance” or something like that.
Or maybe “public indecency before children”, something embarrassing.
Is that John Goodman or Ron Perlman driving? I can no longer tell.
The irony is that women in countries that are traditionally open to toplessness are beginning to cover up.
I wonder how many don’t realize that the hog driver is a chick, sorta, of the hardcore “never the ones you want to see” variety.
The cigar is a nice fashion statement, IMO.
of course 9 times out of 10 these are women who would be better served leaving their clothes on...
Diesel dyke
Yeah, but I really don’t need to see more blurred out things on “Cops”.
No they will call the cops on you for looking.
I bet she has a few gold medals from her days on the arm wrestling circuit.
And also give up metoo rights if you are drinking.
Drinking is a choice. You know it impairs you and you do it anyway. If everyone - men and women - got to sue for sex issues because they drank, itd be one thing but only women get the pass, not guys. Not equal treatment under the law.
