Brown used up every bit of goodwill he had in the league when he burned the Steelers and the Raiders in the space of six months. When those allegations came out, there was nobody willing to defend him. Plus Goodell was already under some scrutiny for pretending that Tyreek Hill's situation never happened and reinstating him with no questions asked. So he was poised to go medieval on Brown to be all Mr Tough guy, and he obviously tipped his pat Kraft off so the Pats would cut him first and not be embarrassed.
Burn bridge after bridge this is what you get.
