John Bolton -- a 'great American' -- served Trump well
Fox Business News ^ | September 10, 2019 | Lou Dobbs

There is a widening differential between the America as described by the national, left-wing media and the America in the world in which most of us live.

And a commensurate gap between President Trump's historic accomplishments and the caricature of the president drawn by both the leftist media and the radical Dems who so viciously attack Mr. Trump in the mad, continuing obsession to not only to block his agenda, to slow his achievements, to somehow, no matter how vicious or craven the means, prevent his reelection in 2020.

The president, at this critical moment, has successfully maneuvered the Chinese into a new reality that replaces their now-defunct obsession of world domination. Iran understands the economic power of America and understands because of President Trump. They don't want to ever test our military power at all.

Afghanistan, North Korea and the worldwide deployment of our troops are the legacy of decades of American arrogance and inertia of bureaucracies that have inhabited our state department for years, and visionless leaders in the White House.

Very true, but many around here are armchair generals and fail to pay attention to what’s happening real world.

Both China and Russia have soldiers on the ground in Venezuela. That is why we are there. China wants their oil. Russia wants control of their oil’s price.

Trump has said several times that he knows that Bolton (paraphrasing) is ready to bomb anything that moves.

Which meant Trump knew damn well that Bolton was a useless advisor.

When you get the same proposed solution to every problem, you're dealing with a pathological zealot, not a rational, intelligent human being.

The real “useless adviser” is the one that thought inviting the Taliban to Camp David on the anniversary of 9/11 was a good idea.

WHO the f thought up THAT brilliant idea!!??

Probably Pompeo. He is the shiftiest, double talking empty suit opportunistic yes-man that I’ve seen in a long time, way over his head helping arrange all this disgusting French kissing with Kim Jong Un.

“Meanwhile, as “National Security” advisor, how much did you hear him say about security at our own border? Trump has had to carry the ball on the wall. I never heard a peep from Bolton. Bolton was much more focused on meddling in countries far away.”

You misunderstand the role of the national security advisor.

1. The best national security advisor to the president is not someone you SHOULD hear much from in public. Those who have made a public show of themselves have not always served their presidents best.

2. Their job is not the formation and finalization of a policy. That is a White House task involving many voices, but the Presidents most of all. The role of the national security advisor is advising the president - not you or I. Their voice is for the president to hear. Theirs is not to telescope that advice to our enemies by revealing it in a press conference.

You have no idea what Bolton ever said to Trump regarding the issues at our border. It was never Bolton’s job to tell you what he said to the President.

“the isolationist mentality.”

“Isolationism” is just a bumper-sticker insult that politicians use against anybody who doesn’t support a particular war that they’re trying to whip up.

When he wanted to increase troop levels in Vietnam to half a million, LBJ called skeptics “isolationists”

We heard a lot from Bolton on Venezuela, Iran and Korea. Nothing on securing our own border

I heard it was Trumps idea

Anyway, it wasn’t Taliban that did 911. It was All Queda.

As did FDR prior to WW2. I suggest an argument can be made that our efforts to “save” Europe from Hitler may have been a waste, considering that Europe will be Muslim in 20 years.

“The biggest state sponsors of radical Islamic terrorism are Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Osama bin Laden was being sheltered by Pakistan’s intelligence service after he fled from Afghanistan, for heaven’s sake.
Have you ever heard John Bolton call for U.S. military action against either of these countries? “

911 happened because we had lousy security at our airports, Bush had opposed profiling Arabs, and our immigration system doesn’t keep track of visa overstayers

Neither Iran nor Iraq had a role. Most of the killers were Saudis. But Bolton wanted war against Iran and Iraq.

you are absolutely right - getting into a war with Iran is a lose-lose event for the USA. The Saudis would then have manipulated the USA to fight for them and die for them for the third time.

The real war on terror is against Pakistan and Saudia

9/11 happened because Bill Clinton refused Sudan's offer to turn over Bin Laden to our government and because he did nothing while Al Qaeda launched three attacks on US interests during his Presidency.

Clinton was an isolationist and thought we could ignore the Islamic terrorist threat and let local law enforcement handle terrorism.

What a load of crap. Isolationism is ignoring national security threats to the nation and thinking we can those threats will just leave us alone if we don't agitate them.

It was Bill Clinton's foreign policy. It's a left-wing mentality.
