All the main characters of the "Bewitched" TV series is dead (except Tabitha)

Posted on 09/03/2019 7:01:36 PM PDT by SamAdams76

Aunt Clara had a good run though. She was BORN in 1883! That was when Chester Arthur was our president and nobody had electricity in their homes yet. In 1883, no homes yet had telephones, radios or even flush toilets.

Yet Marion McDougall was born that year and would go on to co-star in an iconic "modern" television series as Aunt Clara.

Now that's just mind-blowing.

It's a shame about Elizabeth Montgomery however. Growing up as a boy, I fantasized about having somebody like her as a wife (without the evil mother-in-law) but she died so young.

Both Darrin's are dead (both of them Dicks)

Pretty much everybody on that cast is dead. Except for Tabitha. Who I didn't remember all that much.

Eden is alive, aged 88, and has aged well!

“..Elizabeth’s father was Robert Montgomery, a truly great actor, director, and producer. ...”

He was an excellent actor... “They Were Expendable”, great movie, with Robert in star position, next to Duke Wayne.

Elizabeth was beautiful. Loved that old show when I was a kid.

Tabitha was played by twins Erin and Diane Murphy. Here they are today:

Maybe the best Kinks song and thanks for the link, really liked the video of it with all the backstage scenes and the arena (in Providence) filling up. I graduated in 1980 so seeing all those kids coming into the concert brought back memories of high school.

Actually there are four cast members still alive -- the twins that played Tabitha (Diane and Erin Murphy) and the twins that played Adam (David and Greg Lawrence.

The youngest adult cast member was Elizabeth Montgomery. But, even she'd be 86 if she were alive today.

I remember her in the Twilight Zone episode (or outer limits?) where only her and Charles Bronson were the only two survivors of some war...

She doesn’t look bad for her age, I must say. I’m a couple years ahead of her. If I wasn’t married, I could see myself making a play for her.

Mrs Kravitz lives across the street from me.

Which one?

My favorite was Larry Tate.

Four years earlier, David White and Elizabeth Montgomery co-starred in an episode of The Untouchables.

My wife was not a fan of most of my taste in music so we cut a deal on going to the concert. She would see the Kinks if I would go to the theater and see Xanadu (Olivia Newton John).

It wasn’t too painful LOL. A more than fair trade to me. Ray Davies really got the audience going leading up to Lola.

Marriage requires horse trading as much as anything else. ha ha

I think LeBeau and Baker (the guy who replaced Kinchloe) are the only remaining cast members from Hogan’s Heroes.

I set a timer on my phone for 30 minutes every night. I then go to youtube and select a Hogan’s Heroes episode to watch as I fall asleep. I do this each and every night. I have serious issues.

The original Mrs. Kravitz (Alice Pearce) died from ovarian cancer after the second season.

Trivia... she was the only member of the original Broadway cast of On The Town to reprise her role in the movie.

I actually liked the "Mad Men" finale. That 1970 Coca-Cola ad was pretty iconic and love how the writers managed to tie Draper into that.

My father tells me that the workplace was a lot like that during the 1960s. Men literally chasing the secretaries around. Executives really did have liquor cabinets in their office (at company expense) with which to celebrate deals and entertain important clients. After work, the men (and some of the women) often went to a local watering hole before heading home.

I entered the workplace at the very tail end of that era. My earliest memories of work is the click-clacking of typewriters (we still had a secretarial pool) and the liquid lunches. I remember my first lunch with the guys and I ordered an iced tea. All the other guys went ahead and ordered gin and tonics and such and they asked me if I was a recovering alcoholic or something. By the second round, I got on board and they all cheered and toasted me.

That was mid 1980s. Within a decade, having alcohol during working hours was considered a terminable offense. Also, the secretaries were gone and managers were issued desktop computers and expected to do their own word processing and spreadsheets. I remember taking classes on WordPerfect 5.1 and Quattro Pro 4.0.

I don't know, I'm more of a Samantha guy than a Jeannie guy.

Then again, I always thought Mary Anne was nicer looking then Ginger.
