Aunt Clara had a good run though. She was BORN in 1883! That was when Chester Arthur was our president and nobody had electricity in their homes yet. In 1883, no homes yet had telephones, radios or even flush toilets.
Yet Marion McDougall was born that year and would go on to co-star in an iconic "modern" television series as Aunt Clara.
Now that's just mind-blowing.
It's a shame about Elizabeth Montgomery however. Growing up as a boy, I fantasized about having somebody like her as a wife (without the evil mother-in-law) but she died so young.

Great Western drama, Gunsmoke…only Newly O-Brien (Buck Taylor) and Thad Greenwood (Roger Ewing) are still alive.
It’s curious producers initially wanted Dick Sargent instead of York (Sargent passed and was working on another show that didn’t last). You could see York in love with Samantha, but Sargent just seemed like a perpetually annoyed queen who was “cursed” to be married. Sargent could do good work, but “Bewitched” was a miss for him. I wonder if a pre-M*A*S*H* McLean Stevenson might’ve been a better fit.
That movie had some 90 out of 250 or so contracted various cancers. Tho the cause can be argued it was not from the radioactive dirt but from other factors also...like smoking copious numbers of cigarettes. WRONG! Only Dick Sergent was a FAG! Dick Your(first Darren)was Pain-Killer Addicted due to a severe Back injury suffered during filming of a Movie in the 50s. He just couldn’t work anymore due to the Pain/Drugs and was reluctantly replaced.
Agnes Moorehead was known in Hollywood as ‘The lesbians lesbian’’. Man, Liz Montgomery must have driven her nuts.

In fact, I have been so surprised to learn that Agnes Moorehead was actually a godly woman in real life.
Her father, whom she adored, was a minister.
She was a lady of grace and morals who blasted the nudity and filthy language being produced on the stage that she loved and had appeared on in her early career.
She would often take the Bible on the set of “Bewitched” and read it between takes as Dick Sergeant would later convey in an interview. (He did not care for her demeanor.)
She actually collected Bibles and left him to a particular organization in her will.
Agnes Moorehead was a magnificent actress and I fully expect to see her in heaven someday.

Back in the early sixties there was a week long phenomenon on Wall Street that I remember being reported on television. A woman who was more than amply endowed, similar to Joan on Mad Men, would go to lunch and more and more men would wait for her to leave the building where she workd and follow her and catcall her.
There were hundreds if not thousands. It was a mini event of the time. I think she started eating at her desk.
IIRC she wasnt particularly beautiful, but she was stacked.
I find that very unlikely. I have previously read biographies of Agnes Moorehead that described her as a very Christian lady who initially had misgivings about playing the role of a "witch."
I see in wikipedia, the claim that she is a lesbian is absolutely disputed by Debbie Reynolds and others, who claim it was a vicious rumor spread by her ex husband with Paul Lynde repeating it.
:^) While hunting around about that yesterday, I noticed some article about how he'd been in *two* movies named "Titanic", 39 years apart. :^) .
