The Deep State Will Face Justice Soon! Right?
American Thinker ^ | August 31, 2019 | Peggy Ryan

We're repeatedly told by reliable sources that these crimes won't go unpunished — "justice is coming," "buckle up!," "tick tock," "BOOM!" The DOJ is about to drop the hammer on the bad guys. Yet after two years of this drama, not a single indictment or prosecution

Now we're awaiting the much anticipated I.G. report on (FISA) abuse that's going to blow Spygate wide open. Or not.

So far, the I.G. is batting zero on justice. The I.G. report on Hillary Clinton's email investigation showed pervasive bias for Hillary, talk of an insurance policy should she lose, that Hillary should win "100 million to 0." Yet in the end, Horowitz pulled a Comey, said the investigators' hatred for Donald Trump, their loyalty to Hillary Clinton, didn't impact their findings in any way. Huh?

One thing we can’t do is allow ourselves to succumb to total cynicism and despair. To do so would lead to one of the worst defeats in history.

I'm not despairing, but I am becoming a lot more skeptical these days. I've plum run out of patience with our government, and with those who preach "patience".

I'm ready to face up to the fact that we've passed the point of political solutions to the big picture.

Prepare accordingly for what's coming. I am.

I hate to say it but she’s hit the nail on the head. The deep state is still in charge of our bureaucracy and they protect their own.

If justice isn’t meted out for something as egregious as this, we are truly lost as a country...

-- Not sure to what you are referring when you say that you doubt any laws were broken but for lying to the [FISA] court. --

I'm referring to the presentation of an application for warrant to surveil Carter Page, that application being presented to the FISA court.

It is a crime to commit perjury or to provide false statements. Both those crimes have very well defined contours by now, there having been literally hundreds of thousands of cases over the years.

18 USC 1621 and 1623 are the more commonly charged perjuries crimes, 18 USC 1001 for false statements.

Maybe Comey, McCabe, Rosenstein, Boente, and Yates (all five of these people signed off on the application) can be convicted for the representations made in (or omitted from) the application to conduct surveillance against cater Page and those a couple hops away from Carter Page, under the FISA statutes.

What I doubt is that the perpetrators actions rise to a level that makes them prosecutable as crimes. Certainly out of bounds as far as internal procedures go.

Rosenstien's appointment of Special Counsel was also outside of bounds - obviously so, on its face it is deficient, and nothing contemporaneous with the appointment suggests the predicate for appointment existed. A little bit was written on this fact at the time, Andrew McCarthy for one, I noticed it the moment it happened, and I'm sure many others did. But here is the rub, this totally unwarranted action is not a crime. The government can do all sorts of evil things against individuals and against the general public, and there are not criminal statutes to cover that - nor will there ever be, the crooks in government are clever, and WILL dream up new ways around.

So our message to any future insurgents who stage a coup but fail in their efforts to illegally remove a sitting president and overthrow the United States government is, "Be forewarned: treason could cost you your job."

...or get you a cushy, high-paying gig at an unbiased network news program near you.

The privilege angle has been brought up, but violating privilege is not a crime no matter what. Privilege is the power to defy court order to provide evidence, and none of these notes is evidence in an investigatory or judicial proceeding.

I want to be wrong about what I am about to say concerning Barr’s future.

As soon as Sidney Powell gets the truth revealed leading to General Flynn’s complete exoneration, POTUS should dump Barr and nominate Powell as AG.

Powell is awesome. See the famous interview of her by Mark Levin:

Not happening.

She would have been a great initial nominee, as that would have led to a significantly different storyline over the last three years.

Worth repeating from the article...
"Washington isn't a swamp; it's a sewer, and the rats that inhabit it are never going to allow their comrades to be indicted. So why would our government strive to calm the masses rather than prosecute the traitors? Because if the real bad guys are locked up, there would be a cataclysmic backlash from the three families of the Washington mafia. The media would squeal like stuck pigs. Those are their guys, after all. Congress would lash out, threaten mutiny; they hardly have clean hands. And the Deep State would gnash their teeth and fight like a wounded animal as they would metaphorically die should justice prevail."

Russia has a great flat tax, supports Christianity and gun ownership, and is anti-globalist.

And tolerates no crap from muslims.
