Do you think the U.S. needs more sports teams/sports in general?

Once the Democrats take full control, we can at least look forward to patriotic Americans being forced into gladiatorial combat. I’m sure lions are being starved in anticipation of their meal of Christians.

No we need actual CULTURE and HISTORY and TRADITIONS and ART...and people going to living breathing chcurches on Sundays and move NFL games schedules. Evening is fine.

Not for me. If someone asked me to name the major league teams in even the major sports, I could no longer do it. These days I revel in telling the loons at work the NFL football is boring beyond boring.

Construction companies and inside cronies want more sports, each with its own taxpayer funded stadium and naming rights revenue that goes to the team owner.

I used to watch the NFL, no boringbazeball or boogieball. Do not care about spectator sports.

Have a younger brother that is addicted to the TV stuff. A real mystery to me.

He passed on going for a boat cruise off Kona to watch a boring-ball game. Could have recorded the damn thing, but that is the addiction some have I guess.

Most bigtime sports would vanish without the media revenue.

The next trend is “e-sports” stadiums in public, paying a cover, and watching people play a videogame while buying inflated price food and drinks.

Yes. And also more bread. Bread and sports circuses.

Cowboys vs Indians
Black vs. White
Christians vs. Lions

Sports are fantastic, but not for entertainment. In fact, the “vicarious entertainment” aspect has competently turned me off to most sports these days.

Less.

“Bread and Circuses”

A sign of a dying society.

Some Americans think that we need more sports teams/sports in America, that we need more revenue and entertainment.

I trust in the wisdom of the markets - if there's sufficient market demand, there will be more sports teams.

Let the free market decide, and it is with baseball and football. That said, no, no more teams are needed, besides, I do not watch anything as I have no TV and refuse to own one.

We should start combining different sports. For example:

MMA curling.

Hockey and basketball (still have to dribble the ball, pass, and shoot, but it’s on ice with skates).

Water polo and bocce ball (not sure how this one will work yet).

Suggestions?

Fewer teams in MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL would lead to better games as the talent and skill sets on every team would increase.

Central American had that, just not the living breathing part.
