The next trend is “e-sports” stadiums in public, paying a cover, and watching people play a videogame while buying inflated price food and drinks.
I recently watched an e soccer championship (just a few minutes of it). The contestants were asked how long they they practiced and their answers were between 4 and 8 hours PER DAY.......That's just sick.
What I do enjoy watching tho is drone racing.
Soon there could be a fanbase of people who professionally watch and comment about people who are also watching and commenting on other people professionally playing video games. There could be several levels removed as differing levels of fans watch each other instead of the original competitors in the e-sport.
