Do you think the U.S. needs more sports teams/sports in general?

Some Americans think that we need more sports teams/sports in America, that we need more revenue and entertainment.

What do you think?

The next trend is “e-sports” stadiums in public,

I recently watched an e soccer championship (just a few minutes of it). The contestants were asked how long they they practiced and their answers were between 4 and 8 hours PER DAY.......That's just sick.

What I do enjoy watching tho is drone racing.

The masses can have their sports addiction.

None for me. It could all go away today and I would not be upset at all.

Hockey featuring single combat between goalies. More fun than the game.

Uh, no: who gets kicks out of watching other people exercise?

Need to get outside and do the exercise ourselves.

The traditional stick and ball sports and motorsports we have are struggling to sell tickets.

Young people are now paying big money to go watch other people play video games. They don’t go to races or football games.

I get it. Some folks in smaller cities would like to take their kids to a pro basketball or baseball game. That’s what’s good about the minor league system—it enables more such cities to have a pro ball option in town. Just stop with the government funding of the facilities!

Nobody is stopping anyone from playing tennis—if they have access to courts.

At least a couple years ago, there was some some roller derby around Columbia, SC.

There was a promo booth at the Saturday morning open market.

“It doesn’t matter what I or anyone thinks. It’s a business. If more people pay money to support it then it will grow ... if not it will shrink.”

I’d be fine with that if there were no tax money involved at any level.

More of the ones Americans actually WANT to go see, sure. Less of ones like the WNBA.

And no tax dollars to subsidize them.

Way too many already. Sports are turning our society into couch potatoes. Plus most all of the sports games and racing are so boaring.

Each of the major sports leagues are at 30+ teams now. That means over 120 teams already. That means almost every day of the year there are games going on. If one is crazy enough one can get cable packages for each of the leagues to actually view all the games. On top of that there are soccer packages to watch Euro leagues and on and on and on. One of the reasons I stopped caring about most of this was over saturation of everything to the point nothing was that special anymore and you just got numb to everything.
