HUGE! China Caves — Announces Willingness to Seek Calm End to Trade War After Markets CrashThe regime can either give the US what it wants or perish.

President Trump recognizes that China is in an all out war with the US in regards to information and economics. For years Western leaders have done nothing but negotiate into weak positions, never standing up to the Communist regime. Former US Presidents treated China like they did Russia 50 years ago, as their superior always giving them what they wanted and never standing up to their abuse and criminal acts.

I do believe China has taken a step back. Commies are all about two steps forward, one back.

However, China is in a truly untenable position, and Trump has tightened the screws for months. They will lose.

The only question is if they can lose while maintaining their control, of if it triggers a full economic collapse.

Just another game. They will try to hold on until closer to the election then they will do something they think will affect the election. If they get Trump out it goes back to the way it was, only worse for the American people.

This reminds of when that column of Iraqi tanks looked like they were going to surrender when at the last second their turrets turned and they opened fire. Too bad for Chicoms and all the rest that Americans arent the gullible schmucks we were before.

Our compensating advantage is that American public opinion can shift quickly and prove both impatient and resolute when a conflict develops. As during WW II, this combination of attributes tends to make for a rapid and high degree of mobilization coupled with a demand for full victory.

In this instance, China likely fears that with Trump now openly calling out China and her leaders, American public opinion will coalesce against China. Not only would this boost Trump's reelection chances, but it could create an enduring bipartisan consensus against China.

China can’t be trusted. Even if they sign an agreement.

No football spiking, people.

These are nations that dont take well to that. So if they are sincere, then let Trump finesse it.

It’s more of the nihilist older members. The ones that brag about how they only have a few years left, so they wont have to see the end of the world, or some such nonsense.

More explicitly, the CCP is a criminal mafia with absolutely no respect for law. The US negotiating team is wise to them. The Trump hidden agenda is to create conditions that will allow the Chinese people to end the CCP and create a government of law and order. To this end the Hong Kong rebellion is revolutionary. It demands the CCP respect the law and order of Hong Kong. By refusing to capitulate to the thuggery of the CCP Trump is crashing their lawless economy.
An alternative to the CCP does not yet exist. That is the grave difficulty. The few families who own China are in league with the Bilderberg group and other global industrialists and banks. These are the enemies of the Trump revolution. With strong ties to the Deep State, Globalists, including the CCP, are opposed to the nation state, controlled borders, and all forms of traditional religion.
The uncontrolled authority of globalist demonic forces is most clearly visible in the policies of the CCP. Under their oppressive regime all forms of religion are controlled absolutely. Independent religious practitioners are imprisoned and their organs harvested for a grisly and murderous global trade. This is well documented.

Picking George H.W. Bush as VP in the first place was Reagan’s biggest mistake. Not getting rid of him in 1984 was his second.

GHWB spent too much time in China, too much time in the CIA, had a sour voice and a face that went with his voice. His public personality pretty much sucked, like Obama or Nixon. The only thing going for him in 1980 was the RNC's willingness to screw with his opponents on his behalf.

Actually I’m not so sure that’s true about America. We just have more insight into the political shenanigans than we used to.

But regardless of that, Free Republic is the best forum in the known universe where the conservative voice can be heard and conservative ideas can be discussed.

It still is.

But the crybabies are not helping. They discourage actions aimed at improving our country and resolving our problems both foreign and domestic. They discourage a search for solutions to our problems by declaring that there is no hope, all is lost and we might as well face the facts.

Not me. I want solutions. Well thought out solutions.

China hasn’t caved, but the Dragon has blinked...their economy is tanking and they seem to be grasping that Trump isn’t just posturing and ready to roll out the “Roll out the red carpet to walk over us with” that other “Presidents” have supplied them.
