HUGE! China Caves Announces Willingness to Seek Calm End to Trade War After Markets CrashThe regime can either give the US what it wants or perish.
President Trump recognizes that China is in an all out war with the US in regards to information and economics. For years Western leaders have done nothing but negotiate into weak positions, never standing up to the Communist regime. Former US Presidents treated China like they did Russia 50 years ago, as their superior always giving them what they wanted and never standing up to their abuse and criminal acts.

More Jim Hoft sensationalism.
Only fools believe China has caved.
Too soon to celebrate. Lets wait for the dust to settle and see what comes out.
The penchant to deceive goes right to the core of the PRC’s heart.
I think it’s fine if DJT *talks* to them, but I’d say that there’s a 99% chance this is just more flim-flam.
They’re playing for TIME because they know a different US Prez is almost CERTAIN to settle for surface niceties and let the actual substance float by the wayside.
For the sake of the markets I might spend a bit of time on the phone with the Lying Organ Theives, but that’s about it.
They understand PAIN.
Indeed it is hugh!
This Trump quote from a Fox article:
Trump said Monday that officials from China called U.S. officials and expressed interest to “get back to the table, The Wall Street Journal reported. He called the discussions a very positive development.
They want to make a deal. Thats a great thing, he said.
China plays long term games, USA does not.
Oh please, just more three card Monty from the Chi-coms. Agree, cave, cheat, not agree, ok now we agree, cheat, wash rinse, repeat.
“Only fools believe China has caved.”
True. China plays the long game. When Trump leaves office a far left Democrat or a moderate statist globalist Republican will take his place. Do you see a President Pence, President Jeb, President Romney, President Warren, President Beto, or President Pete standing up to Wall Street, the Chamber of Commerce, or the “international community”. No chance. It will be back to business as usual just as it was when Ronald Reagan moved out of the White House and George H.W. Bush moved in.
If Trump is to effect long term change, he needs to replace Pence for the 2020 campaign. Keeping George H.W. Bush as VP in 1984 was Reagan’s biggest mistake.
Not buying it till there's ink on paper and even then we'll have to do what Reagan did to Russia....."Trust but Verify".
Until then, we should keep isolating China like we did with the USSR.
No. China has not caved. They are reacting, and floating things out there, to see how people and nations react.
It is at best a start.
China is copying India’s business practices.
No final deal is ever final...
Caving as in half priced fentanyl for the whole USA via Mexico?
There, now it's fixed.
Even if there is a deal they will cheat. So far all there is is talk though.
You are correct. They have not caved. They are sparring and trying to appear reasonable to quiet their own people and market.
Trump does.
Can his long term vision continue past his tenure?
China will always try to play out the clock, because the opposition to trump is always making it sound like Trump has no support amongst the public or within his own administration... two years to the chinese is nothing... two years to trump can be everything.
I remain shocked, yes shocked, at the level of negativity in evidence here at Good Old Free Republic.
Examples:
China will never give in on trade.
There will be no Barr Russiagate indictments.
Nobody in the Hillary camp will ever be brought to justice.
Reading these comments is tiresome. Whats the point? Do I need to read 50 one liners explaining that we have no hope, that all is lost.
Not the Free Republic I remember.
China, being a communist country where the party controls everything can do this.
We, at least at this point in time, cannot.
I understand and agree.
I am merely pointing out the truth.
And here I thought that this was about the country’s subterranean geological features.
