It was Lacrosse in those days. It just looked like hockey because there was ice everywhere.

“And so we, like, sent our piece of charcoal off to the lab to be dated; and the lab dudes were all, “What date do you think we’ll find on this piece?” And I’m all, “Oh, I’m thinking like, maybe, 10,000?” He goes, “You mean years, right?” And I go, “Yeah, sure.”

When I played lax at GT, I begged my teammates to chip in, rent the local ice rink, and play ice lacrosse. No takers. I still want to do it.

Undoubtedly the village was divided on the issue, probably resulting in many deaths, but given the location I would expect that over 80% would pull for either the Canucks or the Habs.

While Canada officially has two official sports, I’ve heard a great description of lacrosse by those who support it over hockey:

Lacrosse is like hockey, only with fighting.

Be advised, quite a number of people don't recognize an anachronism when they see it:

I consider that we don't really know the age of the Giza Pyramids. Some say they're from 4500 years ago, but others perhaps reasonably say the evidence points to a time one to three Great Years earlier (Great year = 25,765 years).
