How someone came up with such a rich Canadian joke while flying a Mississippi flag on his home page I’d like to know.
I went down the hall and told it to a coworker from Saskatchewan and he immediately busted up.

Lacrosse was often done between tribes, and in some cases as a substitute for a battle. They would cover miles of rough terrain with hundreds of men.

That’s a Georgia Flag...admittedly an older one, it doesn’t
look like that now.
Glad you liked the joke though.

Thanks—I’d assumed that flags are all up to date and I’m pretty sure that Mississippi is the last hold out in that category.
I’m by no means the only one—and Georgia, from a distance from Canada, might as well be Mississippi.
How did someone on the right side of the Mason-Dixon line come up with that joke?

Thanks. I’m glad somebody pinged you—and the post you make is valuable.
That two carbon tests of, so far as I know, some of the oldest carbon-dateable human artifacts, come back with about the same date seems very interesting.
Are there other tests of materials that are dated older than 10000 years that are not within 1000 years of 14000?
