The Democrats Demand Their Recession!
DB Daily Update ^ | David Blackmon

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)

As you watch the Democrats and their fake news media toadies attempt to convince Americans we are in a recession when the economy is in fact booming, remember they have done this all before. – This is just page 284 or something from the Democrat/media playbook, and as George H.W. Bush found out the hard way in 1991-2, the effort has succeeded before.

Not that Poppy Bush deserved to be re-elected in 1992 after reneging on his “read my lips, no new taxes” promise to the voters, but the main reason why he lost that election was because most voters went to the polls convinced that an economy that was humming right along was in fact in a recession. That mis-perception was 100% due to the massive brainwashing campaign that had been mounted by the Democrat/media propaganda complex for 15 solid months leading up to election day.

So, if you’re wondering why each and every one of the Sunday morning opinion shows focused on the “are we in a recession?” fake topic, rest assured that was no coincidence. With the whole “Russia collusion” having miserably failed, the Democrat/media complex is just going through their handy playbook, tossing stuff up against the wall to see if any of it will stick.

It won’t stick this time, for one key reason: In 1991, the country did go through a very brief, very modest recession. That was the “hook,” complete with actual data, that afforded the brainwashing effort a shred of credibility. The brain-washers do not enjoy any similar luxury today, as the Trump economy, with its full employment, low inflation and high wage growth rates has given us strong GDP growth for two uninterrupted years now.

What they are engaged in today is an audacious effort to destroy consumer confidence, because they understand that we have a consumption-based economy. No kidding – these people cringe and become angry when they see the strong consumer confidence numbers published each month, so they are literally attempting to tank the U.S. economy.

Yes, it’s despicable. Yes, it’s disgraceful. Yes, it is disgusting. But hey, these are Democrats we’re talking about here – you expected something else?

Speaking of despicable, disgraceful and disgusting, how about that New York Times, huh? – In case you missed it, New York Times Executive Editor Dean Baquet got caught on audio admitting that his fake news publication had literally built its staff to promote the “Russia collusion” story, and is now regrouping because, in his words, “the story has changed” to racism.

But of course, as we have known now for two solid years, the story never changed at all: “Russia collusion” was a massive hoax from day one, and everyone involved knew it was a hoax, including Baquet and his tailor-made staff at the New York Times. What has actually changed this year is that the vaunted Mueller Report failed to support the hoax, humiliating the Times, and all the myriad other fake news organizations that had pushed the hoax on behalf of the Democrat Party beginning in mid-2016.

Or as Baquet put it:

The closest Baquet came to identifying a moment when the paper had misjudged current events was when he described it as being “a little tiny bit flat-footed” after the Mueller investigation ended. “Our readers who want Donald Trump to go away suddenly thought, ‘Holy shit, Bob Mueller is not going to do it,’” Baquet said.

Oh.

So, what is a professional propagandist to do when he has been caught “a little tiny bit flat-footed” promoting one hoax? Why, move on to promoting another hoax, of course.

Thus it was that, in the same town hall meeting in which the admissions above were made, Baquet promised to re-tool his staff and his fake newspaper’s overarching narrative to now focus on how everything in American life is about racism:

“How do we cover America, that’s become so divided by Donald Trump?” he said. “How do we grapple with all the stuff you all are talking about? How do we write about race in a thoughtful way, something we haven’t done in a large way in a long time?”

“We built our newsroom to cover one story, and we did it truly well. Now we have to regroup, and shift resources and emphasis to take on a different story. I’d love your help with that. As Audra Burch said when I talked to her this weekend, this one is a story about what it means to be an American in 2019. It is a story that requires deep investigation into people who peddle hatred, but it is also a story that requires imaginative use of all our muscles to write about race and class in a deeper way than we have in years. In the coming weeks, we’ll be assigning some new people to politics who can offer different ways of looking at the world. We’ll also ask reporters to write more deeply about the country, race, and other divisions. I really want your help in navigating this story.”

But never fear, Deplorables, because the New York Times is now supposedly going to make an effort to “understand” you, something any responsible news organ might have attempted to do in 2015:

The same newspaper that this week will publish the 1619 Project, the most ambitious examination of the legacy of slavery ever undertaken in [inaudible] newspaper, to try to understand the forces that led to the election of Donald Trump. And that means trying to understand the segment of America that probably does not read us.

Rest assured that the only attempt to “understand” that segment of America will simply be to support the Democrat narrative that each and every one of them is a racist.

This is both hilarious, and sad. Hilarious that the newspaper that sets the coverage tone for the rest of the Democrat-toady fake news media simply cannot imagine that 95% of Americans simply do not focus on a person’s race in their every day lives like everyone on the New York Times staff obviously does. Sad because this is so awfully representative of the sorry, tattered state of the U.S. news media today.

That is all.

The “we’re in a recession” mantra is what the Rats did leading up to the 2018 midterms with the “ Democrats are gonna take the House” narrative. They did take the House cause the Repulsivcans wimped out. They better play a different game now. Offense.

“How do we write about race in a thoughtful way, something we haven’t done in a large way in a long time?”

These evil bastards have done nothing BUT blather on about “race” for the past 50 YEARS.

The Demonicrats and RINOcrats are so TDS-deranged that they will spout any insanity, which the similarly deranged fifth-column media will breathlessly repeat, in their maniacal effort to get rid of President Trump.

They’ve aready issued pleas to their Antifa faction for physical violance against President Trump and his patriotic supporters.

Now, in insane desperation, the Demonicrats and RINOcrats have turned their public efforts in trying to overthrow the Constitutional government of the United States or destroy the U.S. economy (in probable collusion with their Communist allies) so they and the media can blame that on President Trump.

Justice demands these Demonicrats and RINOcrats be held accountable in court trials for their actions. And following conviction, their sentence should a terminal one.

Methinks the Dims are worried about seeing a significant percentage of blacks either sitting out the election or voting for Trump, and Trump picking up more of the Hispanic vote than anyone would have predicted, due to the employment numbers and the much improved economy after the Obummer disaster.

The Dims will try to head that off with the Big Lie that the economy is horrible, so don’t vote for Trump. And, by the way, why not push the Big Lie that Trump and Republicans are racists, so as to convince blacks to turn out in huge numbers to elect Dims so that they won’t end up in chains again.

It’s shameful, but predictable. And the Dim base is just stupid enough to fall for the Big Lies.

During the 1992 election season, the media convinced a large swath of the American electorate that the US was suffering through the worst economy in 50 years. Who can ever forget the "Money Crunch" segment CBS News ran regularly leading up to the election.

But let's not forget about the role of Iran-Contra Special Counsel Lawrence Walsh. On the Friday before the election, he issued a bogus indictment of Cap Weinberger. The news media played that to the hilt, sinking any chance for GHWB to win re-election.

The bogus indictment was later tossed out of court (because it WAS bogus), but that happened well after Bill Clinton won. Too late to do any good. Of course, Walsh didn't care, he accomplished his mission.

I haven’t heard hide nor hair from any of the whimpering sissies in MONTHS (aside from further infringing upon our Rights vs. PRO red-flag B.S.).

“And that means trying to understand the segment of America that probably does not read us.”

He probably meant to say “Those that can’t read us”. Yes, we the deplorables. We the residents of flyover country. We the occupiers of red counties all across this great nation. Yes, We the People!

There really was a recession during Poppy's term.

Shrubs was a purely media created concoction until Peelousy's 2nd year. Well can't give the enemamedia all the credit. Shrubya didn't say boo, to the contrary, kinda like he wanted it to be true too. Not surprising from the only known president to cede the office to a known foreigner!

Not a chance. Too many career rinos hiding under rocks. Only a handful willing to back President Trump.

There is a very real possibility the democrat party will win the white house in '20.

The MSM talking heads really enjoy rolling out the “recession” word, and they try to make it sound a lot like “Russian”.

During the Obama administration, I compared the MSM to a weather man telling you the sky is clear, and you are standing in a foot of water in your living room and the rain is coming down in buckets.

Now that Trump is president, that same weather man is saying that we’re in hard rain, as you are spending yet another beautiful day outdoors, this time installing your new swimming pool.

They jump so many sharks on a daily basis that even the brain numb are noticing it. This is already turning out to be one fun year. I expect some major “shark jumping” over the next year will be places like Google and Youtube getting caught trying to drastically and, obvious to everyone, shut down conservative speech.

They have a lot of power, but they are not a monopoly.

The Dems can demand a recession but the media is also fever pitch to scare people. It’s out of control.

The DNC fought the 84-86 IRA’s understanding financial independence jeopardized their voting bloc. The 2000 recession and the forced housing recessionary debacle perpetrated by the dem senator’s rescued them...

Hopefully, the USA is absorbing the World’s money and as they slide they invest here in bonds and stocks or production... Trump appears to be even or in control of the Fed with a 10 year economic plan in spite of the Fed and world banking.

Please do not forget this.

Bush wins in 92 by 5-10 points if not for Ross Perot. He didn’t help by agreeing with the media and Clinton that we were in a Recession.

Perot might have been a good man, but he totally screwed us in 1992.

".... There is a very real possibility the democrat party will win the white house in '20....."

Is this "very real possibility" for the democRATS based on the polling and the cast of clowns they are running? Look how well they did in 2016 with that corrupt clown Hillary and polls that said she was a shoe-in at 98%.

There is also a very real possibility that Trump will trounce them again and continue as president into his 2nd term.

My money is on Trump.

Don’t forget that 700 of that 800 points happened on a single day (Wednesday) of last week. With the rebound on Thursday and Friday, plus 233 points as of this writing, the DJIA is nearly back to where it started last week.

I am always amazed at anybody who would vote for paying higher taxes and wanting recessions. Being a "Democrat" today is getting synonymous with "being stupid".

DEMOCRAT = STUPID
