Among Hillary Clinton's many dubious achievements is her introduction of "deplorables," as a synonym for Trump supporters, into the American political lexicon.
But if that was a one-off, there's another liberal out there who has made a virtual cottage industry out of insulting Trump supporters. Meet Tiffany Cross, moving force behind a website called The Beat DC, and a regular Joy Reid guest. Cross's particular niche is disparaging the intelligence of the Trump base.
Back in February, our Brad Wilmouth caught Cross calling Fox News viewers "half-witted" and the Trump base "ignorant." And just last week, Cross B>expressed doubt that anyone at a Trump rally could find Greenland on a map.
Which brings us to today, where Cross, once again appearing on Reid's MSNBC show, doled out more denigration of Trump supporters. Cross claimed that Trump supporters suffer from "a willful layer of ignorance." Adding an invidious comparison, Cross asserted that Democrats are a "much more intellectually curious crowd, open to ideas."

For her insults to upset me I would have to give a damn what she thinks.
Use the word thinks cautiously
What does she mean when she says “intellectually curious”? I’m not convinced she could describe what that means to her. The left in general, seem to have code words that seem innocuous until one asks for definitions.
Either way, it seems designed to intimidate us, put us in our place:)

So she is hurling pejoratives, using adjectives, but not really linking these things to anything concrete. She said there was a lot of help from Russia the last time, and speculated that China and Iran might play a role in our election, but while she brings these nouns up, and she applies adjectives to Trump’s base (bad) Democrats (good), she fails to use verbs, much less active voice. It’s just nouns, adjectives, and basically word salad.

I too find liberals intellects to be curious.

If Demwits were “intellectually curious”, they wouldn’t believe the bullshit that the media brainwashes them with. They would research for the truth instead.

I recently tried to persuade a left wing democrat friend to watch/read a couple of articles/videos just to see why we think the way we do, just as an intellectual exercise, but he is not in the slightest bit interested. Granted this is just anecdotal but my experience in general shows this to be typical. on the other hand, on the other side of the political spectrum as we are constantly inundated with leftist propaganda. Thus, it is impossible not to know what the left thinks or feels (albeit they do not seem to think or question much, it appears to me.)

Interesting, since it has to have been more than 60 years since the last time a Democrat had an original idea. That occurred to Bobby Kennedy while he was working as Joe McCarthy's trusted lieutenant and manifested in a suggestion to help expose communists in the State Department and the United States Arny. .
