And if there were no guns used this time, and rocks were thrown at the cops because they have not done the things to earn respect of the people that put them there and pay them, do you blame major league baseball? And this is a case that is out in the open and the guy did it. And the people side with a known criminal that supplies the poison to children and they can’t see the difference. You don’t get handed respect and trust, you earn it. And they haven’t yet on either side. And both need to do something about their anal/cranial insertion. And that starts with stopping the blame and working with each other.

Ever wonder why the Left never attacks GOA?

Because they fight back, and they fight dirty.

That is why I am a life member of GOA.

GOA NEVER compromises on the 2nd Amendment. They NEVER put out mushy statements or play defense when being attacked.

The NRA needs to crap or get off the pot.

Philadelphia was (and probably still is) a blue-collar town at its heart. No matter how many white collar workers there are in healthcare (most of the finance and banking guys move to King of Prussia etc to escape the dreaded wage tax in the 1990s), or how many vote D or R, the town generally values hard work over form. This is why guys like Nick Foles, Jason Kelce, Dr J, Darryl Dawkins, the entire 1974-1976 Flyers squad, and the like walk on water. Yea, there are always doofuses - and with the MOVE bombing by Wilson Goode and Ed Rendell you cannot pin the good and bad on race - and, hey, it IS a city, but all in all, it’s better than other places....AND you can legally carry.

The NRA needs to crap or get off the pot.

NRA is distracted with troubles of its own at the moment.

The enemies of the Second Amendment know this, which is why they're amp-ing it up right now. NRA can't mount a counterattack.

Yes, the NRA sent out protesters to harass the police, must have been through subliminal messages...😋

Can someone please point out to me some incident where an NRA member has shot up an entire neighborhood like this?

The criminal element is treated with kid gloves, allowed to plea down, and their gun crimes practically ignored. Then they’re back on the streets in a couple of years doing the same sh*t again - or worse. But you don’t hear about that on the evening news.

I fondly recall the horrified expressions on the various MSM monkeys when Philly failed to put Pennsylvania in Hillary’s column. A priceless recollection that needs repeating in 2020!

I enjoyed Philly greatly the several decades I was there. The physical layout of the City makes it wonderfully walkable, with residential areas surrounding the many cultural destinations in easy distance. But many of the things I enjoyed so much have since been destroyed and/or driven out by the progressive agenda, such as:

• the sense that the Founding of our country as well as Judeo-Christianity set the cultural tone,
• the "brotherly love" melting pot of many ethnicities now overrun by the homosexual agenda declaring itself supreme,
• the persecution of the Boy Scouts leading up to their ouster from their building (and contributing to the gay takeover movement),
• the endless succession of Democrat City governments,
• the injection of illegals and muslim immigrants into vulnerable neighborhoods via Obama's programs,
• the takeover of South Philly by the Democrat persecution of Joey Vento and the Catholic Church as well as the establishment of legal gambling on the South Philly waterfront,
• the increase in violent leftist or feral street mob activity spurred by social media,
• the ruination of the academic and historic culture of UPenn by leftist radicals,
• and on the practical side, the disappearance of affordable parking near the downtown business and shopping districts (whille the taxed-to-death population has decreased).

it used to be a much more user-friendly place to inhabit.

That may be - I doubt many dock workers live on Rittenhouse Square. But the same holds true in NYC and other cities. Philadelphia and Pennsylvania in particular are more of a zeitgeist than a physical place. For example, all of the Broad Street Bullies were Canadians but they're Philadelphians now. Bryce Harper became a Philadelphian with that boooooming upper-deck grand slam (yes I know...$330MM but work with me).

I don't live there anymore but I still believe that Mischief Night is when you defend your property against hooligans, it is a mortal sin to put anything but vinegar and oil on a Hoagie (and that there is no such thing as a sub), the best cheesesteaks aren't at Pat's or Gino's but at your local deli or at the boardwalk, and that Steckle handed the Cup to the Islanders.

I’m so glad I was born in Philly...

As a former resident I can attest that Philadelphia politics is a cesspool, most of the city is no better than third world and that Jim Kenney is one of the most detestable and corrupt politicians to ever become mayor. He makes Rendell and Street look like choir boys.

While on the Philadelphia City Council, Kenney worked as a consultant at Vitetta Architects and Engineers, served on the Independence Blue Cross board, and was an adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania.

Just like Michelle working for a health care org at some inflated salary while Obama was Senator. It's what Plunkitt of Tammany Hall called "legal graft" - "I saw my opportunities and I took them."

I am sure that someone of his stellar academic achievement was a valued addition to the erudite Penn faculty.
