That may be - I doubt many dock workers live on Rittenhouse Square. But the same holds true in NYC and other cities. Philadelphia and Pennsylvania in particular are more of a zeitgeist than a physical place. For example, all of the Broad Street Bullies were Canadians but they're Philadelphians now. Bryce Harper became a Philadelphian with that boooooming upper-deck grand slam (yes I know...$330MM but work with me).

I don't live there anymore but I still believe that Mischief Night is when you defend your property against hooligans, it is a mortal sin to put anything but vinegar and oil on a Hoagie (and that there is no such thing as a sub), the best cheesesteaks aren't at Pat's or Gino's but at your local deli or at the boardwalk, and that Steckle handed the Cup to the Islanders.
