I just tried to get into my Target Red Card Account and there was no way. They have a new "agree or no agree" to their policy and it was pages and pages long. I skimmed through and saw the paperless billing.. give them permission to get into my bank.. and if "no agree" you don't get in to see your acount.
We cancelled our account at Target years ago...................
I got a gentleman on the phone and warned him this was a complaint. I asked him if he had read the agreement... he had not.. did he know how long it was... no....
it included just about everything imaginaginable. and I told him I no longer would use my red card... after years, I am done... they fixed it so no one in their right mind would agree... so why are businesses so intent on spoiling their company and losing customers..
The rest rooms were enough...
Hard learned lesson: Never call.
We have not been to target since they forgot which bathroom to go to.
It is all predicted in the Bible. Check it out for yourself. Revelations 13:17. It will be like that at all the stores too soon.
Yup, we abandoned Target after they decided that the “feelings” of sick men trying to use women’s bathrooms outweighted the feelings of my wife not wanting such sickos in her restroom.
Shove it, Target. Shove it deep. Shove it often. And die, die, die, die.
I wanted to talk to a voice..and I wanted him to send the complaint to the upper management... the idea to have to agree with pages and pages.... who would!
I quit Target over the rest rooms also.. but there are 2 items I can only get there.. that is it! but no more red card!
With all this gun stuff going on you’d think they’d change their name - or maybe they’re close to going out of business and don’t feel the need to.
So much mis management....everywhere. Sears didn’t have to go broke...they had so much going for them.. appliances, tools.. and dumb management. they do not see what is happening to their businesses until it’s about over.
My husband sold heating and Air for Sears... one summer it was so hot, all he had to do was give the customer a paper to sign... and Sears had no equipment to install. the waiting list was 2 months.... we lost a lot of money that summer... management knows not what they do.
I don’t know all what other crap they had in there, but the bank account one is easy. Just open a dummy account and give them that information, then you can close it. They have no idea if it’s your main actual account or not.
Their Red Card is linked to your bank account. It just gives you a percent discount on purchases when you use it. Essentially it's a debit card.
The “agree” or “no agree” was for alllllll of it... pages and included every imaginable item for THEIR use. It did not favor the buyer or the card holder.
A craft store where I frequently shop has a “Rewards” program. I read the privacy disclosure before signing up and was pretty disturbed at what all they can potentially do with my info. So, I didn’t sign up. The cashiers hassle me every time about joining - I tell them “no thanks”. The ones that ‘know’ me don’t comment further, but newer folks keep pushing and ask me ‘why not?’ I tell them “I read your privacy disclosure”. One cashier, who was extra-pushy, looked at me in utter astonishment and told me he had never had a customer tell him that before. He now remembers me - ‘oh, you’re the one who read the privacy stuff’’ Bottom line for me, the LESS accounts of any kind, the better.
There are three different Red Cards, in-store credit, MasterCard, and debit card. Which one did you apply for?
Speaking of Sears, while antiquing recently I found and purchased a beautiful mint condition 1964 Sears catalogue. I’ve been really enjoying going through it. I would’ve been 6 when it came out and so many items are so familiar and sweet.
Oh, hell no!
I don’t go to Target.
I didn’t apply for one...I’ve had one for YEARS... it’s a master card. They just went too far and I don’t need them and their card. I don’t let any business into my account... don’t touch. I know it’s easier... just not for me. I have a lawyer son who would go to bat for me... but I don’t need the hassle.
