Next month Hollywood will release a new movie called "The Hunt." it's about liberal elites hunting down and killing Trump supporters. Matt Margolis:
As Margolis notes, this seems like a particularly stupid thing to do, and more so in light of recent events. Here's the trailerIn the past few days we’ve been hearing a lot about how Donald Trump’s rhetoric is apparently to blame for the El Paso shooting, yet Hollywood apparently lacked the foresight to think that a movie promoting violence against “deplorables” might be in bad taste until after the shootings in El Paso and Dayton, as only now is Universal rethinking their promotional strategy for the film."Did anyone see what our ratf**ker-in-chief just did?" one character asks early in the screenplay for The Hunt, a Universal Pictures thriller set to open Sept. 27. Another responds: "At least The Hunt's coming up.Nothing better than going out to the Manor and slaughtering a dozen deplorables."
In the aftermath of mass shootings within days of one another that shocked and traumatized the nation, Universal is re-evaluating its strategy for the certain-to-be-controversial satire. The violent, R-rated film from producer Jason Blum's Blumhouse follows a dozen MAGA types who wake up in a clearing and realize they are being stalked for sport by elite liberals.
Over the Aug. 3 weekend, ESPN pulled an ad for the film that it had previously cleared, while AMC ran the spot during the season premiere of its drama The Preacher. It's unclear whether the ads were identical, but the one yanked by ESPN opened with a sound resembling an emergency broadcast signal. A rep for ESPN parent Disney declined to comment on the move, but an ESPN source says no spots for the film will appear on the network in the coming weeks.
According to THR, the movie “features guns blazing along with other ultra-violent killings as the elites pick off their prey.”
Does it strike anyone else as hypocritical for left wingers to produce such a violent movie featuring murder as sport given the phony wailing from the left about Trump's alleged violent rhetoric?
This movie is no longer far fetched. Some are taking baby steps in this direction. Specifically, Joaquin Castro has published a hit list of Trump donors, without question in the hopes of visiting them economic harm and perhaps even physical harm.
Castro, twin brother of 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Julian Castro, posted late Monday night on Facebook that he was "sad to see so many San Antonians on this list of maximum donors to Donald Trump." He specifically called out two companies, including a popular BBQ restaurant, and posted a list of 44 donors, with their full names and employers.Trump campaign official Tim Murtaugh highlighted the post on Tuesday, calling it a "target list."
"This is Joaquin Castro, Congressman & chair of his brother's campaign," Murtaugh wrote. "Naming private citizens & their employers, targeting them for political views and exercising 1st Amendment rights."

Again, this is an update rework of an old idea.
The most famous version of the story is “The Most Dangerous Game”, a movie from the early 1930’s. Then, as well as now (apparently), the hunter becomes the hunted at the end.
Sounds like another ‘controversy’ to gin up interest and ticket sales...and the movie will turn out not to be what everyone claimed.
In the usual horror flick viewers’ sympathy for the victims is what makes them scary ...seeing someone you sympathize with get stalked. You scream at them to get out of the shower, knowing that’s a favored place of ambush, etc...
In hunting game an old time strategy is to set up a stand near a watering hole. For liberals a stand near a Starbucks would be quite effective.

How does that former place of greatness, Hollywood, get away with making trash like that??? You would have to be a total moron to waste your time and money.
I was going to make a prediction in a post that before the end of September we would see some sort of open call to violence and even assassination on the part of either leftist activists, politicians, pundits, or members of the media. They beat me to it, I guess.
Now, I suspect that the rationale that this is actually a satire, ultimately showing the victims as vindicated and reaping their revenge, might be given as an excuse, but I don’t buy it.
Numerous times, facetious offhand comments and outright jokes made by Trump, were taken as literal threats, and the scorched cat chorus bellowed forth. And we are supposed to think that this was done in the spirit of fun or political satire? Crap.
