"Winter is tough thought. I did go out in the snow last winter in barefeet but could never last longer than a few minutes. Not sure if that's enough for proper grounding."Ice is an insulator. You must stay in one spot until all the ice and snow are melted, so you can directly contact the ground. If you do that, I'm sure it will have a great effect on you.

Going barefoot was just a normal part of being a kid in the southern latitude states; Georgia, Texas, and such.

It’s real and it has to do a lot with your magnesium consumption. In order for grounding to work you must be sufficient in minerals

After having stepped on a nail that went thru my foot while barefoot, then jumping out of a boat barefooted and landing on a broken bottle and slicing my foot open, I never go barefooted anymore..........

I noticed the same - went right to spanking, much better. Apply punishment, and then it’s over and we’re friendly again.

After having stepped on a nail that went thru my foot while barefoot, then jumping out of a boat barefooted and landing on a broken bottle and slicing my foot open, I never go barefooted anymore..........So do you now jump out of boats with boots on?
Or do you not jump out of boats at all?
Childhood memory: My dad sent me down to Alabama every summer to keep me out of trouble in the city up north. All my cousins down there went barefoot all day long to the point where they could walk on the blacktop in 90 degree weather barefoot. I could never develop calluses to do that so I'd walk on the grass beside them - they used to call me a girl on account of that.
So when I got up north, I insisted on walking barefoot as much as possible so I could show my cousins down south the next summer that I could hang with them on the blacktop.
Never quite got to that level of barefoot. You really need to be born and bred down South to do barefoot right and proper.

I read something along time ago about being barefoot opening up parts of your brain that are shut off when you have shoes on your feet.

You southerners :)
God bless ya!
Just like many southerners get a kick out of my northern WOP stories, I get a kick out of all things southern :)
But Staten Island could be transported to the south and besides the accents and increase in mob activity, we would fit in well :)
